New to the fold (and site)

I just picked up a T380 from Bud's in Lexington today. I won't get to try it out until at least Monday, but I sure like the way it feels in my hand. I looked at the 15 rnd, CC, pimped up (gold accents), and the plain Jane black. I'm a no frills guy, so I took the last one. I'm one of the fortunate few who can actually drive to Bud's. They're great folks to deal with, and I've bought a few from them. Heck, this time they skipped the insta check bull. Few dealers use the permit instead, but Bud's is one who does.

If the truss holster I ordered (http://www.specgear.com/Truss.html) works like I hope it will, this little critter could end up as my EDC. I drive- a lot- as in 800 miles a week. Comfort and accessibility are a problem I've been trying to solve every since I got my CCDW. This may be it. I hope. I'm kinda hoping the SP101 works in the holster as well. If not, it'll stay a beside the seat accessory.

Welcome and Gratz on the T380. I purchased a 1911 from Buds online store yesterday, hope they give me good service and send it out in a timely manor. Must be nice to live close enough to drive there and the part about using your CCP to buy a gun instead of the paperwork is awesome, wish they did that in WV.

I've gotten a few guns through Bud's website, and I've always wondered what the actual store is like.

If you went there you would not be disappointed. I went browsing there on vacation a last year and I liked the place. I think the online selection from them is better, however..

The store is great. Specs is right in that there is a better selection online. However, anything that you can buy online can be picked up at the store. All it takes is a call or an email. The store is a fair size, and has an indoor range. It would have to be HUGE to hold the selection you can find online.

Re: New to the fold (and site)

I was able to squeeze a short (50 round) range trip in between the raindrops today. I was very impressed with the Bersa. After reading various reviews and comments, I expected to be satisfied. It went beyond that. Usually, it takes me a mag or two to either get the feel for a gun, or kick myself for buying it. Neither of those happened today.

1st 25 were from 7 yds, and the group was 2 1/2". I felt pretty good about that, and the pistol felt very comfortable in my hand. I moved back to 14 yds, expecting to do worse. To my surprise (and pleasure), nothing changed. If anything, the second group might have been a shade better. I would've moved back further, but the rain moved in.

If the next 150 rounds go the route of the first 50, I'll be carrying the Bersa a lot. The Kangaroo holster I ordered should be here in a
day or so. If that works out, it'll ride there.

Oh, BTW- Not one failure. Period. So far, so good. I was also amazed at how smooth the trigger felt. Very nice, indeed.
