    Sleeping Dog Holsters....?

I really don't care for the bulky holstels offered. Had anyone use these? And what is your opinion?

Thanks for the information and opinions.

P.S. By the way, I'm a new owner of a Bersa Thunder 380. Love the hell out of it!!!

    Thanks,

    Re: Sleeping Dog Holsters....?

Welcome to Bersa Talk, and congratulations on your recent acquisition of the BT380.

I'm assuming that since you posted this inquiry in the Holster Talk Forum, you've already read a lot of the posts and know about some of the options that are available out there. Am I right?

My personal opinion is if you're going to carry concealed, the best holster for your BT380 is a UBG Striker by Nate Gable, who's a member of Bersa Talk. Here's a link to his website, go have a look. www.ubgholsters.com

Here are some pictures of the holsters w/gun. Click photos to enlarge.

My experience was that after I got the gun, I spent several months and several hundred dollars looking for the perfect holster. After I got the UBG, I quit buying holsters. Or, at least I quit buying holsters from other people.

Maybe you like the holster but don't like the turn around time and want something quicker. Well, I suggest you look at the holsters at Your Gun Parts or Condors's Flight. They're operated by another Bersa Talk member who caters to Bersa owners, and he'll sell you a relatively inexpensive holster that you can wear while you're waiting for Nate to make your UBG. Here's a link to that website: http://www.condorsflight.com/

Other people have had satisfactory results with other holsters, as you'll see if you've read some of the other threads in this forum.

Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

Looks like a perfectly sensible holster at a reasonable price. If its well made, it should do the job.

    Re: Sleeping Dog Holsters....?

This one, model #036, is certainly too small for  a Bersa Thunder 380. Possibly the #035, which is larger, would do for it.

For my Kel-Tech P3AT - it works like a champ! Just the right size. Small, unobtrusive and small enough to be comfortable. I carry it IWB style. One could, if one wished, use it outside the waist band. And I guess in the back. And not too terribly expensive. Full leather and well made. I think it will stand the mark of time. Look into it. Worth the effort.

P.S. Looks like the perfect model for the Ruger LCP or anyother like pocket pistol.

    Thanks,

I bought a sleeping dog leather pancake holster a while back and only used it once. For me it did not feel secure enough to hold the weapon in place.

I then purchased a Vega holster and I use this one as my OWB.

    For the sleeping dog/ Vega - http://www.condorsflight.com/products/index.php?cPath=106_107_118

I just purchased an IWB holster for $21.95 on e-bay and I like it.  www.theholsterstore.com
