    Uncle Mike's pocket holsters (#3 vs #4) with 380CC

I didn't like the way the 380CC could shift about in the UM#4, so I bought a UM#3 to see how it fit.  What I learned was that the #4 is about 3/8" wider than the #3, and all other measurements (angle of opening, overall height, etc.) were the same.  Here's how they "stack up" in a single pic:

Here's how the 380CC fits in the #3 - there's no "rocking" movement possible:

Here's how the 380CC fits in the #4 when the barrel is parallel with the holster sides (rocked forward):

And here's what I didn't like - the 380CC "crooked" (rocked back) in the #4:

With the 380CC in the "crooked" position, there's a full finger width of space between the rear sight and holster.

Hope this answers the questions of potential buyers.

I bought the #4, and you are correct that it is a bit loose. I still like it better because the CC will not pull the holster out when you draw. I tried 'em both too. It's tough for those who can't try them to make a decision.  I also bought a DeSantis and actually don't like it as well as the UM #4. I guess we are talking about individual preferences here, but I am reading that they call for a #2 for a CC sized gun, and that would be too tight a fit for me.

    Great post, carcentric!

I wonder if anyone's tried the #2 with the CC.  It appears that you like the #3, but have you tried the #2?

As I've stated in other posts, for the standard BT380 I like the UM #4.

I also like the DeSantis Nemesis designed for the BT380.

    Thanks.

The #2 is supposed to be for even bigger pistols than the #4 is designed for - to me, that means there'd be more slop than the 380CC has in the #4. . . (not the direction I'd be going).

I use the um #2 pocket holster for my 380cc and like it. The front part of the holster fits snugly right in front of the rear sights. The rear sight is just outside of the holster and it covers the trigger guard like the #3. It's a snug fit, but not tight. Looks like the #4 is a little too loose for my taste. I also have a galco pocket leather holster-fits great but is too stiff and to  hot for all day carry. Thanks for the pics carcentric. very helpful.

i have used the number 4 as a carry for my standard bersa thunder 380.  these days it has seen daily use as my tuaras 605-b  snubbie 357 holster   fits that great

I have not tried the Uncle Mike, but my BT 380 fits perfectly in my DeSantis Nemesis for my Taurus J-Frame. Of course, the proper fit is a matter of personal taste. -Hoss

Re: Uncle Mike's pocket holsters (#3 vs #4) with 380CC

The Nemesis designed and constructed for the BT380 is N38BJ75Z0, and differs from the one you like so much, at least on the package designator.

N38BJ75Z0, according to the package, is designed for the Bersa Thunder 380 as well as the Beretta 84, 85, 85F; Makarov; and the Browning BDA 380.

I can't comment upon yours, but mine fits very nicely, and I would recommend it for the BT380.
