No one is mentioning "peak oil"
If you were the commissioner of common sense, you could see how China and India are coming out of a "third world" type status and competing in the world market.
Example: years ago if you looked at a National Geographic featuring say China, they would show the streets full of bicycles, today it's cars. Same for India.
Look at everything China manufacturers, it all takes energy. China has paid top dollar in the past for items such as concrete and steel. It is certain to happen with oil.
I have heard (hearsay) that the plan was to use up all their (middle east)oil before we even think about touching ours. Thus returning them to desert.
One last thing, the oil market today is very much like the gold standard years ago. Did you know that all oil is priced in U.S. dollars? As the dollar falls, oil gets more expensive, and it ain't finished fallin'
It's a commodity.
