    Firestorm 22 Magazine Question

Well, I picked up my FS22 this evening and have already cleaned it up and loaded the magazine in preparation for trying it out tomorrow.  I do have one question:  Are the .22LRs supposed to be loose side to side in the magazine?  The magazine is labeled .22LR, in holds precisely 10 rounds, and the .22LRs snug up adequately to the lips of the magazine, but it was a bear to load, as the extra width below the lips allowed for too much wiggle.  I welcome any experienced input on the matter.  Thanks in advance.

    Re: Firestorm 22 Magazine Question

There's a round grip plate on each side of the magazine directly below the follower. Put your Thumb on one and your forefinger on the other, pinch it and slide it toward the bottom of the mag. Load the rounds without fighting the spring. Piece of cake.

    You're welcome. Smile [:)]

    Re: Firestorm 22 Magazine Question

Thanks p-t-max.  I've also got a Ruger Mark III, so I already knew to do that.  My problem is that, because there is so much more width than the diameter of the bullet casings, the bullets tended to drop only a 1/2 inch or so and then they would bind to where I had to fight to get them back out to try again.  The good knews is that your photo confirms for me that my mag is the right mag, I just need to find the right way to hold my tongue while loading it.  Thanks again.

    Re: Firestorm 22 Magazine Question

Just came back from putting 60 rounds through my new FS22 (10 CCI Stingers & 50 CCI Blazers) with only a couple of feeding problems along the way.  I feel sure even those will work themselves out with another 200-500 rounds of break-in.  I also had no problems getting the magazine loaded today, so last night I just must have still been dazed by my new purchase.
