Return Spring Problem - Seems Very Common

    Hello All,

I have been seriously considering, "taking the plunge", into the Bersa Owner's Pool. However, I have been reading the posts in the Tech area and there seems to be an extraordinary number of problems with the trigger return spring coming out of it's groove on the .380. Is Bersa working on correcting this common problem? As great as the warranty work seems to be, I'd rather not have to spend the time and money to have to send it in for something which is already known to be a problem. Any takes on this? From what I've read, Bersa has a great product at a great price - with only a few problems :-). I'd just like to be able to have a bit more faith in being able to depend on a firearm without a loose spring making it inoperable when needed the most. Thanks for any info on this.

From what we see here it is not that big a problem anymore. Most of the time it can be traced to one of to issues causing it. There are no design changes planned that I am aware of. It is a great gun for the money, and is reliable also.

    Thanks,

I have the same problem on my brand new 380 Thunder. What are the TWO issues causing the problem?. Is this a manufacturing defect or some bad springs? I heard that Bersa was a good gun and now I have my doubts about this 380.
