    Sleeping Dog Leather Concealment Holster?

Hello all this is my first post on Bersa Talk! I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts or reviews on the Sleeping Dog Leather Concealment holster and how do you like/dislike or what would you get instead. Here is a link to one of these in case you haven't seen it:

    Welcome to Bersa Talk.

I haven't tried the Sleeping Dog products, but if they're offered at Condor's Flight, they're probably reasonably good.

The holster I recommend is a UBG Striker by Nate Gable. I carry my BT9UC all day every day in that holster and it's comfortable and concealable and I forget I even have it on. Here's a pic. Click on it to enlarge.

The problem with ordering a holster from Nate is that the turnaround is stretched out to several weeks. So get one ordered, then order an inexpensive holster from Condor's Flight to carry in while you wait. You'll have that holster in a matter of days.

Hello Crockett Creek Kid and welcome.

I also would recommend UBG holsters. I have the Nassar style one for my 380CC. However when it's better that I go with OWB I use a slide holster I got at the NRA Store. I have one for my UC9 as well. Looks alot like the Sleeping Dog product.

I like mine and think either brand would work well for you while awaiting one of Nate's superior holsters.

Hello Crockett Creek Kid and welcome....Smile [:)]. As you can see, most here prefer the UBG holsters, however the Sleeping Dog Holster looks like it would work just fine and it does come from a reliable source.....Good luck with your purchase...

Off the top of my head the only concern I would have would be the clip catching my shirt in a SHTF scenario (using it as OWB of course) and slowing down presentation.  I know it's very unlikely for that to happen but stranger things happen all the time Stick out tongue [:P]

Actually, it's not that unlikely. It's the main reason I started wearing my IWB UBG Striker with the clips over the waistline of the trousers, but under the belt, as shown here. Click to enlarge.

Man, that's what is great about this forum.  I get my questions answered before I even know what's making me uncomfortable about a situation.  The accumulated knowledge and wisdom of the "Old Timers" here and their willingness to share is what I'm talking about.  Thanks Guys.

Re: Sleeping Dog Leather Concealment Holster?

I have two of the NRA slide holsters one large, one small. They are reversible,  clip for iwb, loop for outside. The way I carry mine is: I use the clip on the pants but the holster is outside, I then run my belt through the holster (holster is now between the belt and pants). The belt keeps it nice and snug agaist my side and the clip adds stability. The difference from IWB to outside is the thickness of the pants your wearing . I carry my .380T and my 9mmT and to my surprise my .40 S&W is just as concealed. It's a nice small "nothing to it" holster.
