    New FireStorm 1911 Range Report

Ok, put another 100 rounds down with my new 1911 Delux. I'm someware around 250 rounds now. I couldnt be more happy. Shooting CCI Blazer. Its a bit picky with its mags. I have a bunch and the ones that work the best seem to be the more generic non brand ID mags. Mag problem is the slide lock dosnt lift up and lock slide after last round with some mags. Gonna try to replace slide lock with another and see if that helps. It has never had a ftf or fte. The trigger is unbelivable. As good as my future x wifes Kimber and the trigger reset is awsome. I think reset is the FS 1911s second best feature. (first being its undervalued cost) Very slight release to reset then very positive for follow up shots. I have no way to measure but movement seems very slight. This makes for acurate follow up shots. The Sights are 3 dot and easy for these ol' geezer eyes to find. Being a fulsize GI. Its very pleasnt to shoot. Easier on my hand then any other Bersa/FireStorm I have shot. Not quite a fair apples to apples comp as the size/weight is a lot more. I was able to kill a pie plate with every shot at 10 yards all night long. Thats as good as I ever shoot. Somebody else is going to have to kill all the silver dollars at that range for me. I think this one is a real winner..... I just hope the retailers just get their act together and quit yackin what they dont know here.

Good report. It seems That the 1911 model is the ideal gun no matter who makes it. They are a nice shaped weapon. When I was in the Navy we would shoot the 45 off the fantail of the ship and I couldn't hit anything then either. Did manage to hit the water. Big Smile [:D]

Actually living in AZ. I really don't MISS the ocean. At least till Calif. breaks off and we have beach front property. We really did shoot at 55 gal. barrels in the water and I coundn't hit one of these either. At that time pistols were not my bag of tea. Getting better at it now....Must be the Bersas...LOL
