Just turned in my CHP application. First time I've ever been fingerprinted, but it felt good to do it for that purpose. I asked about the timetable, and she said it would probably take the full 45 days (the maximum under VA law) because they were really busy. They receive at least 20 applications per week. Granted, the population is 138,000, and 20 per week is not a high percentage. However, this is in liberal Alexandria City. I was surprised there were that many gun owners much less CHP holders!
