    Warranty Card on 9uc

My S.O. just got her 9uc and put 26 rounds thru it with no problem, she has a little problem with shaking on the double action round, but does quite well with the single action.  Question is for those that know how to fill out the Warranty Card.  She purchased the gun from Bud's but was transferred at a local dealer, which one is the one from whom it was purchased, i think it would be Bud's but want to be sure, and the date of purchase? i guess would be the transfer date or action date Bud got the order?  I purchased gun on my credit card, but she took delivery with  the background and all the other paperwork at the transfer shop.  I forgot to send my card in and have had my 9uc for a couple months now, is it too late to send in the warranty Card.  Thanks for any help you can give.  chuck

    Re: Warranty Card on 9uc

I've still got all my warranty cards from when I purchased the guns. Never bothered to send them in. Tongue Tied [:S]

I'm sure I'm not the only one. Many Bersa owners don't bother with the warranty card. If you're the original owner of the gun, the lifetime warranty is still in effect, regardless of whether you filled out the card or not.

If you have trouble with the gun and need to send it in for warranty work, though, send it to the best, Colorado Gun Works. They have most parts in stock and their turnaround time about a week for most orders. Their contact info is at the top of the Tech Talk Forum Page. You can call and talk to them first if you need to.

I'm not saying don't bother with the card. I'm just saying you don't have to if you don't want to.

P-T, Not disagreeing, but how would one prove original ownership if brought into question?  I have a mod 85 purchased in the 80's and had no problems with it so dont anticipate any problems with the 9 either.  thanks, chuck

Also, not triying to be a wise guy, how would you prove it if you sent the card in? You would not have it anymore. Of course, the dealer you brought it from could help, but I don't thinkk I ever heard of a problem with this.

Okay, y'all convinced me, no warranty card on file is not a deal killer.  Although if the card is sent in, the serial number could be researched by Eagle Imports, the place you send the card.  Of course Royce of the repair station may not need the info to begin with, but at some point, it seems he needs to be paid from whoever is offering the warranty.  Thaiks to everyone who replied,    chuck

Use your dealer Since He has all the Paper work  So I woud consider him  the  seller for paper work.  I never send it warrenty cards. On any pistol. Taurus fix mine under warrenty no questions.
