    Dependable hollowpoint

Hi, can anyone reconnmend a dependable hollowpoint for my Bersa 380.  I have about 200 rounds of mostly fmj with out hardly any ftfs.  But I'd like to get a hollowpoint round that can produce a little more stopping power with out the worry of jamming. I've heard  the hollowpoint tends to jam in these babies..  Please advise.  Thanks.

Many people here use and recommend the Corbon DPX round.

    Re: Dependable hollowpoint

Ive not had any brand of HP jam in Bersa. I say DPX  since its all copper their is no jacket  that might come of. Will expand better than lead and be more consistent in its expansion. Don't hurt its clocking over 1000FPS from a Bersa  Last test I saw was doing 1050 fps as stated on box. The was test by S.A. CAMP well known writer ,gun tester, and member of BT.  He was testing the DPX in the Thunder.

Others will say Federal, Remington ,Silvertips, and so on. You must decide and test for relieability in your pistol.

Magtech "First Defense" is also all copper and can be found for significantly less money than Cor-Bon DPX. I haven't used it with a Bersa, but it works fine in my Kel-Tec P3AT.

True but in couple test Ive read showed little or no expansion.   Better test  them .

Ive only saw 1 test where the DPX didn't do well. That was a wet pack test and from a Seecamp  Even then it did have some expansion.

    Re: Dependable hollowpoint

For practice, and for learning if my gun liked hollowpoints, I bought a box of Remmington Express 88g JHP.  The BT380 never knew the difference from ball.  It also ate Speer Gold Dot but at a much higher cost.  No jams ever with this gun, just one slide locked open from my flashlight!  500 rounds and counting....
