I agree with the above except in the case of .45 Hollow Points that are not jacketed. Since HP bullets will expand and slow down upon contact quicker than JHP or FMJ ball ammo I prefer +P rounds in non jacketed HP's to give me a bit of extra penetration, especially in winter when people (read that as potential BG's) wear heavier clothes. OTOH, +P ammo will not hurt the Bersa, but it will give you more of a pounding and I wouldn't recommend it as a steady diet.
As for the earlier question, since last August all Bersa pistols in 9mm or larger come with 2 magazines. Also, the 9mm mags are now 13 rd (UC) or 17 rd (T-9). Earlier 9mm guns imported before '06 came with 10 rd mags to comply with the Clinton AWB that expired in Sept of '04. All the .45 mags hold 7 rds regardless of when they were built. If you find a pistol with only one magazine and they are asking the same price that newer pistols are selling for, I'd ask for a discount since a spare 9mm, 40S&W or 45ACP magazine will cost you between $45-$50. Also, if you see a Bersa 9/45 built in the past 12 months that only has a single magazine, I'd ask where the extra magazine went.
