prufrock77:I have a V-line quick access safe. It is easy to get into fast and secures the firearm. If you have kids around, its vital to secure it.

If you have kids at home, you can't just hide the guns, you absolutely must secure them.
I have several ready guns hidden in different locations in the house because my wife won't carry. We don't have kids living at home, so we don't have to worry about securing them. When we leave for overnight or longer, the ready guns go back in the safe and the safe is secured.
We have a BT380 in the nightstand drawer in a pocket holster. Another gun is on top the fridge. Another is within arm's reach of her desk. And I carry, even at home, until I go to bed. If we had kids living at home, we would have each ready gun in a quick access safe.
Home invasion robberies are becoming more prevalent and I'm not willing to be an unarmed helpless victim.
