    New Carry Piece

Got my IRS rebate check yesterday and spent a goodly portion of it on a Taurus PT-145.  Really compact for a 45 cal 10 round pistol.

I have the Taurus Millenium Pro stainless in 9mm.  Fits the hand great.  I think you'll like your new Taurus.  Incidently mine does shot a bit low with 3 dot sights but I think it's more me than the gun.  I'm more used to DA/SA triggers and haven't mastered the Taurus trigger yet.  But it's 100% reliable and that's good enough for me for a short barreled defensive piece.

    Re: New Carry Piece

I have the Pro pt145 second generation model DAO and simply love it, over 1000 rounds, no hiccups at all, hit very well with it.  A lot of  firepower in a small package, recoil is not uncomfortable at all.  Only 23 ozs and $339, what a deal.
I sold the remainder of my guns that weren't stolen

Very nice MSGTTBAR. Good comparison pics with the BT380 (nice grips on that by the way).

Hey Mike,i have the same gun and have had mine for eleven years now and like the gun a lot.It has been in for service once and that was to replace the lever that locks the slide open after the last  round, but other than that.It has been a great little handgun and has fired everything it has been fed.I shot low and too the left myself when i first fired the gun,but that was getting used to the longer trigger pull and anticipating the shot.

I have considered buying this same gun a couple of times in .45 caliber because the nine has been reliable and the price on these are very reasonable, and they all come with a lifetime warranty. Now that i am gainfully employed again,i am able to say those magic words."I would like to put this on Lay a Way".Big Smile [:D]

Well, the size and the price were what drew me to looking at it, and after fondling it at the store and comparing it to a BT380 there, It just felt right in my hand.  If you are anywhere near Pensacola, they (9, 40, and 45) are $299 + tax.  Heck, I was also tempted by the 24/7 Taurus @ $349.

Unfortunately Pensacola is about 410 miles north west of me,but the prices around here are good on the Taurus handguns also.
