    Re: reload the 380;

    I've used 100gr Berry's round nose flat base for a while now.  I recently purchased some 95gr Rainier (sp?) round nose, but have not had a chance to try any of them.  I've also loaded Speer's 90gr. Gold Dot hollow points without any problems.  My BT380 seems to handle anything I try to feed it.

    Re: reload the 380;

    I usually buy whatever is the cheapest, Berrys, Rainier, or Remington; lately the Rem 88-95 gr. rn or hp has been the cheapest in bulk (500 or 1000). 500 last a long time in 380.

    Can't help with Unique, i use  Win 231 for plinking and PowerPistol for full house loads for 380, 9mm and 45acp they both work great in those cailbers

    Re: reload the 380;

    I am currently using a 105g conical point flat base cast bullet from a local supplier.  Unfortunately, he does not always have what I need.  For quite some time I have been unsuccessfully looking for an 85g SWC mould.  I am about to the point to buy the Lyman or RCBS 95g round nose just to fill the gap.

    Re: reload the 380;

    Lee has a 95 gr. rn for the 380 Mak, of course you'd have to size it down to .356; I've been thinking about trying this.

    My pet .380 range load for my T380:

    Whatever .380 brass I happen to have, Berdan of course
    Winchester or Remington small pistol primer, either one works fine
    95 gr Rainier copper washed LRN
    3.2 gr HP-38, W231 should work work as well
    .970 OAL

    Taper crimp using Lee's FCD

    This load is the one thing that I've found that is 100% dead-bang reliable in my T380, and it is accurate, too!

    Re: reload the 380;

    I also use Unique powder as my pistol powder.

    For Hollow points I use 90 gr. Hornady XTP bullets and 4.0 gr's of Unique.

    For round nose I use 95 gr. Sierras and 3.8 gr's of  Unique.

    I found that the hollow points feed better in the Bersa.

    Using Berdan brass must be very difficult to deprime.  I had intended to use Boxer in fact that's what I bought from CGW.  Surely ya jest

    Oops -- my bad.  Boxer.  I was thinking about having to cull out the Berdan stuff and that's what the fingers punched in on the keyboard.  Miserable Pollen -- the darned allergy meds have me about half punchy...

    Yep.  Not impossible if you have the right equipment.  The other big problem is getting Berdan primers.  It can be done, but it is way too much of a PITA given that there's plenty of Boxer primed stuff around.

    Re: reload the 380;

    I've just started reloading .380.  Funny thing is...I like the speed of the Square Deal B but I think the quality of the reloads on my Lee Classic Turret Press may be better, overall, than the SDB.  That may be attributable to my access to the dies-much easier to adjust them on the turret press than that small platform on the SDB with the proprietary dies...which I hesitate to adjust in the first place...and then there's that great FCD...the recommended OAL is .975.

    Anyway, I've looked around and read around and there seems to be a concensus on other forums that ~3.0 gr of Bullseye with a 100 gr. Berry's RNHB or whatever is a good load.  I know that it cycles well and I haven't had a single problem with the first 300 or so rounds I have reloaded.  They've been a pleasure to shoot but I can not vouch for accuracy compared to other loads.

    Re: reload the 380;

    I've tried a few different combos and my most accurate load is 3.2 gr of Bullseye, 95 gr Remington FMJ, CCI primer. It's not as clean as Magtech factory ammo but the bullseye cleans up easily.

    For 45 ACP I'm using 5.2 gr of Bullseye, 230 gr Remington FMJ, CCI primer.

    Re: reload the 380;

        Thanks for the info, Murray!

       For additional brass, I just received 500 new Starline .380 brass directly from them.  Very good if not the best pricing, and shipping is included!

       Sometimes buying direct from manufacturer is the best way to go.
