    380CC vs. LCP?

I've just recently found out about the Bersa line of handguns and now I'm planning on getting the 9 UC as my first handgun with the 380 CC soon to follow for those times when the 9 would be too big to fit in a pants pocket.

One thing I'm curious about is the size difference between the 380 CC and the LCP. Could anyone post a pic or link one with a side-by-side of the two pistols?

    Thanks!

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

The CC is larger than the LCP  it holds a couple more rounds and longer barrel   Its at home in pocket or waist band. The LCP is KelTec size a hide away pocket pistol. The CC is twice as heavy as the LCP.  But it is a DA/SA pistol where  the KT is a DA only

Their really 2 different pistols and other than caliber and both can be pocket carried  Have very little in common.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

This is a neat little chart, http://www.mouseguns.com/PocketAutoComparison.pdf but unfortunately they don't have the Bersa's on the chart. I don't know about the 380CC, but I have a Thunder 380 and a Keltec P3at (the LCP is pretty much a heavy copy of the Keltec). I can tell you my P3AT is fine for pocket carry, but the Bersa is just to large to be comfortable in the pocket. The Bersa gets holster duty in a Bianchi minimalist, the Keltec does pocket duty in a Desanis Nemisis.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

There is an article in the July issue of American Rifleman on the Ruger LCP. It is like the Keltec a DAO.
The trigger pull is rated at 8lbs. Seems stiff to me.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

my KT 380 trigger came in at 7.9 lbs we tested it several times . 8 is fine   Thunder should be close to 10 on DA and 4 or 5 on SA   My PPK/S is close to Bersa but was worked on years back.

Remember on these pistols the long  little heavy trigger is really like a safety.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

    Hi,
I can't post a pic that would show the difference but the Bersa CC is kinda big for pocket carry at least for me. The P3AT or LCP will pocket carry very nicely. They don't have external safeties, sights, and all that hoopla hanging off them to snag or make them fat.

Not wanting to argue with you, but my 380CC fits ever-so-nicely in my pocket (in a pocket holster) if I'm wearing dress pants or shorts.  Here in south Florida I very rarely wear jeans.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

I agree the CC should fit in pocket fine I still carry my PPK/S in pocket with holster and its just a little larger than the CC .  I have found Thunder just a little to large in all but a couple pair of pants.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

I've never had a 380 CC, but I'm waiting on one that's replacing the LCP that broke at just over a month old.  If that helps you any.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

No contest; Bersa concealed carry is a far better gun than the "Ruger-Kel-Tec.  My CC carries like a dream in my front pocket and even the regular Thunder 380 is ok for pocket carry in my jeans...Bersa is the BEST cheap gun on the market, bar none...

UR right No Contest. the LCP and the Bersa CC are 2 entirely different pistols with 2 different purposes. I HAVE BOTH plus P3AT!!. Bersa CC is no better than ruger LCP. Ruger is no better than bersa for intended purpose.
hope this clears that up and have a great weekend,

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

I agree. The CC 380 makes a great car/truck gun that can be carried in your front pocket. The LCP or KT are  great pocket pistols that also make great car guns. The big difference is that the CC is fun to shoot for practice, not at all punishing. Even so, I use my FS 22 to save on ammo costs for most of my fun/target/plinking.

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

The ruger lcp is just a kel tec in ruger clothing.  Only thing good about kel tec is their customer service, and you will need that.  Ruger makes some fine guns, but the lcp is not one of them and not as good as any Bersa.  As far as a car gun goes, well, I guess my car is just a car, because it can't shoot so does not need a gun...

    Re: 380CC vs. LCP?

I carry my Thunder CC in pocket with no problem. (Nemisis Holster).

I usually wear shorts here in SW Florida. No jeans!
