I'm not sure how to simplify this for you SuperDave but I'll try...here goes. Bestiality is between 2 seperate species of animals. Yes I am referring to humans as animals, because guess what, thats what we are. I don't believe it is right because of that. It also happens to be a Class C felony in the state of WA because of the case you just mentioned.
As for incest, does birth control make it ok? Not really. From the ethical standpoint I normally go by it is wrong. However if I use reason I could honestly say that there isn't a problem if its between consenting adults (keyword there, adults). Thats my heathen perspective. Basic enough for you?

So basically if you are an adult, then if it feels good do it, it must be ok?  It is a sad world when people start thinking like this.  That is why the youth of this society are turning into trash more and more every generation.  Gangs, rapes, living with and controlling (violently)their parents and grandparents until their 40's instead of going out and getting a job, poor work ethic, rampant drug addiction.  Just look at Hollywood.  A few decades ago, hollywood would never have produced the filth that they produce to mainstream America.  The sad part is that Americans except it with increasing tolerance with the ANYTHING and I do mean ANYTHING goes point of view.  Drug addicts get movie deals justa as quick as anyone else.  The only thing that will get you black listed in Hollywood is if you are conservative and stand up for values and the traditional family.  Then everyone wonders why the crime is up, education is in the toilet, our kids are on drugs?  IT IS BECAUSE THROUGH OUR ACTIONS AND INACTIONS WE ARE SAYING TO THEM THAT ANYTHING IS OK....AS LONG AS YOU CAN JUSTIFY IT TO YOURSELF!!!  There are lawyers right here in the US that are basically fighting every day for terrorist rights, illegal alien rights, the right for gay people to push their views upon us, the right to take away any and all Judeo Christian influence even though our country was founded and to a great extent based on Christianity.  These people commit treason every day.  Why do these people along with all the illegal aliens that claim we are such a racist country, not go somewhere else?  The people that fight for terrorists rights, people like Michael Moore that want to ruin our healthcare system even more than the illegal aliens and want to turn the US into Cuba......Why doesn't he just go live in Cuba if he thinks they are so great?  Why did Castro have to have a European do his surgery if the Cuban healthcare system is so great? 

This thread started out asking about a group that is actually trying to bring about change in the US, for the better, so that we might have a chance of getting back to what is right with our country instead of eventually self destructing.  I for one wish we had more people like this. 

The best thing that could happen to the US in my opinion is it be peacefully divided down the middle and let the people that want everything free, want illegal immigration, and free welfare for all have one half, and the conservatives have the other half.  Which half do you think would prosper??  What would the welfare families do without the hard working middle people to pay their way?  I am really sick of seeing half of my check go to an impotent and FAR too LARGE government.

I do agree with what you said about the government, but before you start boo-hooing over how impotent the government is...think about where your vote went. I'm guessing Bush. Why not fix the problems you created when you voted for him, rather than focusing on others that don't concern you.
BTW, I think that my half of the country would win. We'd have all the cheap labor and a huge military-and you would have what exactly?

Ok I thought I'd chime in.

Actually there has always been "filth" in Hollywood, just behind the scenes so to speak. So, yes it's more open now. The 20's saw violence and vice. Maybe a movement from the disolution from WW1?? Same then, gangs, drugs, multiple partners, prostitution, etc etc. Not just here in back days USA, worldwide scale.

If you want to live your life as a Christian, or put in any religion, then fantastic. Remember 1st Century Christians were persecuted heavily and always had constant barrage from the vices of the Roman empire. It's good to have morals and stick with them, human nature always tries to go away from being a decent person even with good intentions.

You've got to see it from other's eyes as well. Christianity doesn't really have a clean slate so to speak, control and torture during the dark ages. Who made a deal with the Nazi's in WW2 and didn't speak out? history tells.

I am not sure but, I would humbly suggest that part of being an "American patriot" has to include somewhere, the unconditional support to its citizens (all its citizens) right to seek "life, liberty & the pursue of happiness", with "justice for all", "regardless of race, creed or sexual orientation"....and of course, your rights end where mine's begin, and we can talk about it all you want as long as we respect each other, and each other's point of view......my 2 cents.....thanks.

All of us can make a difference right where we live. You can attend town meetings, and all that is involved in your world where you live. You can be part of the NRA and reach out through a known organization and where the money is used. By being here at this forum you are receiving information and your thoughts and beliefs are challenged to new thinking or to build resolve that you are what you already believe and not going to change.

It is great to be in a free country and able to express thoughts and feelings. I for one am more old fashion and have watched the slide of morality just as it has happened in England over the years. If the pattern continues as it has in the past on many areas in 10 to 15 years we may be where England is today. I would rather that not happen but it is a possibility unless all of us get involved to make a difference in our own world where we live day by day. 

Volunteer your time in your community to help someone else who may be in a time of need. Change the political climate where you are. If absolutely no one in your area is willing to listen then there needs to be a change. You may be the one to start a group or run for a local office to work inside the system to make it better.

Who's idea of a better world is the question to answer? Society needs to have order, which is normally controled by the majority who hold a point of view. We have elections to seek the will of the voters and chart the course of our nation. This is all the way from your local school board up to the President of the United States.

Save your $24 dollars and buy a box of ammo. You just may need it when the bad guys or girls show up some day to take what you want to keep.

Marriage is between me and my wife (25 years next week).  I could care less if my neighbor wants to marry a goat, it doesn't affect my marriage one bit.  My family is not based on what my neighbors do - its based on how I live my life. 

Gay marriage and immigration reform are examples of current political wedge issues, designed to politicians to divide us.  Twenty years ago the wedge issues were flag burning and school prayer.  Are you going to allow some politician to decide what's important to America?

How about some real issues, like the cost of health care and energy prices?  How about taxes and the federal budget?  Last time I checked, nobody was deducting money out of my check for gay marriage.

We don't live in a democracy, we live in a republic.  We also have a Constitution - that means that you can't beat up on people or their ideas, just because one idea is more popular than another. 

We came to America for religious and personal freedom.  That's what I fought for - the right to think and speak and worship freely. 

Now, before someone starts calling me a left wing nut job, I'm an honorably discharged US Marine, and for a time, I wore a badge as a cop.

Geez - We've got bigger issues than what our neighbors do in their bedrooms.

I have no problem with lesbians gay sex, if the gals look like they came out of Penthouse, and will let me participate.  I have been told I have some lesbians tendancies, or at least that seemed to be apparant when it was explained to me what Lesbians do when they get together.
