Most of the time, I carry a Sig P-226 loaded with 18 rounds of 124gr Hydroshoks. I definitely understand what Michael T is saying about God and John Browning, but what can I say -- I'm a pretty darned good shot with my Sig and, if I miss, I've got 17 more tries.
I carry it OWB most of the time with a relatively cheap Galco holster. The key, though, is a good belt. I've purchased two--one black, one brown--from The Beltman and I couldn't be more pleased. They're nice enough to wear with a $700 suit, and do a great job supporting the heavy Sig. The only problem was that my old Blackberry holster wouldn't fit over it due to thickness. The new BB holster is better, though.
I only carry the Sig, though, when my wardrobe allows. It conceals just fine at 3 O'Clock with an open button-down shirt, but it'll print otherwise, even under a hooded sweatshirt. Then again, my own love handles might have something to do with that.
From shooting the PX4 (it was okaaaaay, but everyone has their own preference), I get the feeling that it is wider even than my Sig -- meaning that it might benefit you to look at a higher-riding holster. Just an idea.
It's funny that I stumbled onto this thread. I'm here because I'll be picking up a T380 so I DON'T have to carry the full-size as the only rational, non-nostril gun alternative to my Kel-Tec P32. Good luck, and keep us all posted.
(Incidentally, Michael T. ... I'm not poo-pooing the 1911 by any means. My gift to myself for passing the bar--on the first try, I hope--will be a Springfield long-slide. That is, once I break the news to my wife...)
