What range ammo works best for kt p3tat

Just wondering what range ammo p3at owners have had best luck with?

I haven't fired but 50 rounds of CCI fmj (5 failures to fire with deep primer strikes, maybe just a bad batch of the cci, as I've never had problems with 9mm or 45 acp) ; 50 rounds of aguila fmj, failure to feed and stovepipes, also about 5 hiccups, and gave up on Winchester silvertips after 25 rounds.  The lone ranger hollowpoints may just have too much of a throat to feed good.  I realize I need to fire a few hundred rounds to smooth the pistol out.

I know you said "range" ammo, but you mentioned the STHPs (which are defensive rounds), so I'm going to direct you to this thread where Michael T explains that Corbon DPX was designed around the K-T P38T.  http://bersatalk.com/forums/thread/74871.aspx  If that doesn't work for you, good luck! Never had a FTF with Rem green box FMJ. Or my DPX SD loads.

Mine eats remington in any flavor, and Fiocchi hardball just fine. I  had 1 FTF with WWB as round # 4X.
Federal and Winchester are iffy ammo in my opinion. I never tried any of the designer ammo in it.

Hi Jake, I shoot mostly CCI alum at the range Maybe someware around 7-800 rounds. Never had a problem. SD likes Hydrashock and Now DPX. My P3AT has been flawless since new. Good Luck

Mason, I may have just came up with some from a bad batch of CCI, as I've fired over 1,000 rounds of CCI aluminum 9 mm and .45 acp with no problems, and I haven't had a hiccup with them either, probably just a fluke with the box of .380 I got.  Sure not dissing CCI.  Non of the CCI rounds had any feeding or ejection problems on the ones that fired.  Kind of like the one time I put some great expensive name brand windows in a house and there was no sealant between the glass and the sash, they leaked like a sieve.  Thought I'd give the store a little time to sell out of that batch of CCI .380's and try them again.  May be just be the gun, but the firing pin strikes were deep.  In trying a few of the Winchester Silvertips, just to see what they would do, I decided the hollowpoint throats were too wide, and will probably try the DPX for self defense rounds once I get enough ball ammo to go through successfully.  Not to the point I trust my p3at just yet.  Some pistols, I have, digest everything, others are just more finicky and like a prticular ammo.  I like the way the little pistol hits the target though, will put all in the kill zone at ten yards.  I got it for when I'm wearing shorts and T-shirt, but the way my legs are looking at my age, I may never wear shorts in public again anyhow.  I have over 3,000 rounds of other CCI alum and blazer brass in my war chest in other calibers, so I have been pretty pleased with CCI.
