Re: Carrying at The House of Mouse

I have carried at Disney, If there is a sign it isn't properly posted.

If caught at the gate, security will be called. They will check to see if you are legal, if so you will be escorted back to your vehicle to secure it and driven back to the park all the time apologizing to you for your inconvenience. (This is what happened to one of our members from our club)

Now if you are caught in the park, they check like above to see if you are legal..Then send you packing and revoke your pass. Go figure!

The lady from Pennsylvania was recently arrested at the gate. NO Pennsylvania concealed permit, she broke the State law. Her Problem, the doofus didn't even know the gun was there.  This type of person is dangerous to all of us. It was later learned that the gun was loose in her purse, enough said!

Re: Carrying at The House of Mouse

we're going in Nov, but i'll just leave the CCW in the truck and carry my kershaw black onion.  IMO, as property owners, they have the right to request that you do not carry a concealed handgun, and i will respect that.  also, there are WAY too many chances of loosing a handgun on a ride there if you're planning on getting on any.  if you're going to ride, then do something else w/ the firearm.

Re: Carrying at The House of Mouse

I'll not be disarming myself for a ride. I am confident in my holster's ability to retain my firearm or I wouldn't be using it.

I agree property owners rights vs. my right to be able to defend myself is a difficult (at best) situation.

Guns are weapons. Period. All guns are weapons. Not all weapons are guns, of course.

PT might be the first time in a while we really disagree about something.  Firearms are not weapons.   When I took the training this summer to become a volunteer Hunting Instructor we covered this extensively.   When people use the term weapon to discribe all firearms that really gives Anti-gunners and Brady's fuel.  That is exactly what they want.  They want the common term for Firearm to be weapon.  They want everyone to see a picture of a firearm and think "weapon".  when that happens they have won.  If you call a firearm a weapon while instructing the hunting classes they will pull you as a instructor.  The NYS Conservation Office understood how important this was and impressed it on me, and you know what?  They are exactly right.   Every news cast or article that uses the term weapon instead of firearm or gun it just a liberal jab at mentally making people associate the two EVERYTIME.  ...using the term weapon to describe firearms might be the reason my parents were afraid of them until I introduced them and taught them about handguns.   they had no reason to be nervious about them besides the fact that they are "weapons"

Think about the term... Assult Weapon Ban....  makes them sould like their only use is as a weapon.

The impression the term weapon leaves on people unknowledgable about firearms is not what pro-gunner need or want.

Well, try to argue the point to the two very large and armed fellas dragging you out by your armpits. I don't think cops care about your interpretation of a word or phrase when it comes to weapons.

Re: Carrying at The House of Mouse

I have carried at Disney twice.  Now after they fired the employee for bringing his gun to work and locking it up in his car, I am boycotting the Mouse.  Everyone in our club 660 members have taken an oath not to take their families to Disney. This is spreading through all the CCW holders too.  The word is out down here not to go to Disney!

Why would anyone want to go any way, Spend big bucks to stand in long lines all day long.  Pay $5.00 for a coke, $50.00 for a good meal at a Disney restaurant. You meet all the foreigners who want to take over this country. The place reeks of NOBAMA lovers. I can go to a thousand better places than Disney in Central Florida for entertainment.

But have you sent word to Disney that they are missing out on over 500 families vacation dollars?

Yes, That was the fun part.  We used the Disney feedback email, Disney contact email, Stockholder contact email, Customer relations email, snail mail.

Not one person that I know of has received a reply.  I think the Disney higher ups have a memo out to go quiet on all response to us.

To carry in the House of Mouse, one should have a "mouse gun".

A friend of mine once had a bad case of Jenning leg.  .25 cal. jacketed ball round shattered his femur.

PH, that indeed is a proper mouse gun, and the holster does it definite justice.  Makes me wonder why Old Tin head insists on dog hide.
