    Concealed Carry sticker for business owners! opinions?

    Was just thinking that we need to design a sticker that businesses can post on their storefronts or where ever needed to show that they support the right to carry. Ive seen the NO fire-arms signs so how about we come up with a Pro fire-arms sign. would like to have the local gun shops be able to hand them out to business owners who would like to display them. Something very visual and you know what it is when you see it. also wonder if it might cut down on crime if bg's know that there might be someone else in there with a gun besides them. anyway good idea or not? might have allready been done but havent seen one yet. post designs here and lets get some made. here are quick ideas on some..lmk what you think..

    the small line underneath the design says "We honor the 2nd amendment and the right to bear arms!"

    I like the idea.I think that it would be interesting to see how many stores would be willing to put one in their window.

    I think it's a fantastic idea!

    Let the silent majority speak out.... yes we carry, it's our right!

    I also think that if anything happened in a store or shop, the lawyers would be coming out of the woodwork stating that you encouraged it or provoked the situation....  @#%&*@ lawyers!

     I don't know if the use of  Red or Yellow though, Being a universal colors for

    Red = Danger

    Yellow = Caution

    Makes it almost look like "Warning someone in here might be armed" I guess you could use red and yellow as a warning to a would be robber.

    I would say most businesss owners would not want to put it up beacuse of one they would not take a chance on losing any money from anti-gun people. 2nd... it tells a BG  that the owner is pro gun guy and  the clerk is Prob carrying, It could be a deterrent to some but lets face it, there are alot of desperate Perp's out there and if someone is going to kill you or rob you and they know you have a gun you stand way less of a chance.They just might shoot first to get your gun out of the plan, and to get what they want.

    Gun shops and Pawn shop's ext,  Don't think it matters, cause all the Bg's aleady know they are armed. Or have a Loaded weapon close.

    So if the business would use them....I like the red, white and blue one, with the little bit of red.

    Re: Concealed Carry sticker for business owners! opinions?

    When I worked with my wife, I always wanted to put this sign up in my office:

    PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.06, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY HOLDER OF A LICENSE TO CARRY A CONCEALED HANDGUN), A PERSON LICENSED UNDER ARTICLE 4413(29EE), REVISED STATUTES (CONCEALED HANDGUN LAW),

                                        IS WELCOME!

    AND MAY ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN.

    My wife objected (it's her business).

    I like the idea...

    However, with the big numbers, the decals remind me of stickers commonly found on the back truck windows of Nascar fans...

    Maybe something that is a little more discrete, so the illiterate anti-gun people wont notice.  Maybe something as simple as a sticker that says "In support of bill #####" where the number would be the law that allowed citizen concealed carry...  Most anti-gun people can't read let alone do math,  they probably couldn't take offense.  And, no criminal would have a clue as too what that means.

    Re: Concealed Carry sticker for business owners! opinions?

      I like the idea of one that had been mentioned on another board (IIRC they had seen it at some shop).  We have probably all seen the 'gun buster' signs with a gun inside a red circle with a line through it, well this one had a green circle around a gun with no line through it.  Maybe add something about 'leagel CCW welcome' to it.  I think many business might fear loss of business from antis but I think they would see little change and may well increase their business since the CCW holders boycotting their competition would flock to support them and I know MANY in my area (includeing myself) who will NOT give a dime of business to any business posted as no CCW other than maybe those required by law (government buildings, bars, etc) but woulf go out of their way to support a business that supports us and or RKBA.

    I like your idea, it takes away the question "Did I miss the sign (meaning the no CCW sign)".  I would give favor to a business that supports our rights.  I like the sticker in the 2nd Row, 3rd column.

    Re: Concealed Carry sticker for business owners! opinions?

    While it's a laudable idea, I think you will find that very few businesses would be willing to display such a sign for two reasons:

    1. Lawyers. If I were a business owner, I would be concerned that, if a shooting ever occurred at my business, an agressive lawyer would argue that the business "encouraged" the presence of handguns thus leading to the shooting. The business might well get slapped with punitive damages by the court.

    2. Antis. While a business owner may have nothing against CCW, they would not want to alienate the antis who are part of their customer base.

    I go a pawn shop that is owned by a handicap vet to look at used guns.
    He has a  sign that said "vets welcome here" for years.Now he has a sign under it that says"permit holders welcome here"
    Short and to the point.

    And my gun is cocked and loaded,I hope I get me some sleep tonight.

    If this would become to happen,being sued for a "encouraged" permit holder shooting,it could also be done for "encouraged " shooting by a criminal since they are advertising with the no hand gun sign that criminals with guns would not be confronted with reasonable force..The store did not take reasonable steps to insure the customers saftey ,right.
    Whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

    I have been checked out and fingerprinted by the federal and local government and have my fingerprints on file with the Kansas bureau of investigation, have no feloney convictions,never been convicted of domestic violence,have no history of mental illness and passed a back ground check ,passed mandatory training for use of a firearm and applicable laws,passed a target shooting test  and am a law-abiding citizen and have been given the right by the government and local laws to carry a concealed hand gun,if you dont want me in and my means of  protection your store, you dont want my money either.
