I ordered a double thickness gun belt from Gunner's Alley and while the product was of very good quality I found it to be too uncomfortable. Being fat it would dig into me when I bent over or sat down. They were very good about accepting the return and would recommend them and the product to other people.
I figured what I needed was a tapered gun belt but when I started looking around I found the prices to be high enough to inspire me to make my own.
Not counting the tools I had to purchase (I never count those) I've got about $40 in materials wrapped up in this thing and a lot of experimenting and frustration. All in all, if I wasn't the kind of person who enjoyed doing stuff like this I probably would be further ahead just ordering one from somebody.
Below are some pics of the two ends. No picks of the middle since it's just a straight chunk of leather. I know I've got a lot of holes in the tab end but that's on purpose ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
