    newbie

woo-hoo. just bought my new thunder45 uc stainless, fired it for the first time. ran 100 rounds ball through it. ran flawlessly. perfect in every aspect. had bought a spare mag. with it. and had three FTF with the second mag. it was always the last round in the mag. don't no whats up with that. but the original mag worked perfect. got rid of my 1911 to buy this and NO regrets. woo-hoo

Welcome to Bersa Talk and congratulations! When I got my 45UC both factory mags had a lot of the shipping gunk (Royce called it RIG) in them. Took them apart, cleaned them up, and have never had a problem with them.

The BT45UC takedown is as easy as pie. Drop the mag, clear the gun, decock, rotate disassembly lever, pull slide off front of the frame, turn it over and push the guide rod foward and lift it out with the springs, then lift out the barrel. Done.

Clean with Hoppe's or Break Free CLP or whatever gun cleaning product you like. Lube with CLP or Outer's Gun Oil, or Gun Slick or something like that. Not WD40.

38Supe, if you're asking about cleaning the mags, it's easy as pie.  Push in the retaining pin, slide off the floorplate, catch the base and spring and ease them out, then remove the follower.  I shove rags up through the mag body to clean it, and wipe down everything else.  Re-assembly is pretty straightforward, but check function make sure nothing's in backwards, sideways, or whatever.  Clean them once and you'll be an instant expert!
