New Member - Not an owner yet - Recoil Question

    Greetings!

I'm seriously considering the .380 CC, but would like to know about the recoil. With an old injury on my strong side, I'm a bit recoil sensitive.

    Thanks in advance!

I think recoil is quite manageable. I don't think it would present any problems. I had a stroke on my strong side and have used a Bersa .380 to qualify for my Concealed and Carry License and shot perfect scores for both qualifying shoots.

Hello and welcome to Bersalk! I have the 380cc and thoroughly enjoy shooting it. The recoil is not bad, you will find that it is quite manageable (imho). I suggest that you find someone with one of them and try it out first anyway just to be sure. You will find that it is just a bit of muzzle flip, and not a push type of recoil as a 45 would have. The 9mm is also not bad on recoil and balances well in the hand. Either way, you will not go wrong with a Bersa....Yes [Y]

Ditto on the "flip versus push". I was surprised at what I felt in the web at the base of my thumb (where the beavertail hits), but wouldn't consider this a deal-breaker for you. I would suggest you consider a glove for range time if this were an issue. For the time-of-need, this would be the least of your worries.

I'm quite pleased with this little gun - conceals very well, and the daughter shoots well with it. I would like to see an easier-to-see front sight, but really this is a point-and-shoot tool rather than a target pistol.

Price is excellent, and takedown for cleaning is quite easy, too. Beware using the 380 magazines, though: as I understand they will jam on you. Stick with the 380CC magazines; if you want the pinkie toe, you can get an aftermarket version from www.condorsflight.com (though you lose a round in capacity).
