    High Pressure Air

I was looking at the air compressor in the garage and thinking, attach a blow gun to that puppy and I can blow all the crud out of the crevices easily. Anybody know why I would not want to do this?

    No.

Just be sure to wear goggles or something.

AND, (besides the googles) Watch that you don't blow any small parts accross the room !! ( I hate it when that happens !) Also compressor air sometimes has a lot of moisture .

Good Luck and best Regards,  Clyde

Actually, that's a good point. When I worked in the underground environment we ran our tools with compressor air and used dry air to fill our splice cases (to keep the water out).

So you could blow moisture into the deep dark crevices, then have rust damage and have no idea why your gun's not working as well as it used to.

If you are a SCUBA diver your tank has DRY air use it.

On standard compressed air have a filter attached!

Use whatever cleaning lube solution you normally use to pre-clean your gun then blow it out with your compressed air.  I have been using my bicycle dry chain lube for about 15 years and it works great, your gun will not rust and will function smoothly even it you don't add additional lube. I then add KG-10 Dry Molly Lube to the trigger sear along with other working parts for a friction smooth operation.

Try clean safe canned air,not real strong and wont blow away parts Smile [:)],it is advertised to be used on firearms

And my gun is cocked and loaded,I hope I get me some sleep tonight.
