Just more proof that every gun is a law unto itself.   Also a good reason to shoot at LEAST a box of your carry ammo through your gun, to make sure there are no reliability issues.

Some guns just don't act like others, despite what the experts say.  I had a Ruger 357 years ago that would not shoot 125-grain bullets into less than a foot at 25 yards.  Everything else, 110, 140, 158, and 180 grain bullets, shot just fine.  'Splain that one to me, Lucy!

In this case I think it's just a difference of spring strength, or a timing issue.  Maybe different grips affect it.  In wiggling my UC45's slide stop the spring seems pretty stiff, but obviously it's  just light enough to let the stop engage in some situations.  I thought early on it might be a magazine problem,  but it did it with both of them, with varying numbers of rounds left.

I adjusted by reducing bullet weight, and it hasn't done it in several hundred rounds.  But if it ever happens, at least I will know it quickly, and can mash down on the slide stop and get back to business.  I don't consider it a flaw, just a quirk.

Ok p-t-max, you have both a UC9 and a UC45, and I happen to know you have the same UBG holster I do. Does the UC45 fit the Striker for the 9?
I really like my UC9, but I am having some serious "come to Jesus" experiences with the .45 ACP round.
The recoil is much more manageable to me, and I shoot my .45 WAY better than the 9 now.
It may be time for a new Bersa. A bigger one.Big Smile [:D]

I refer you once again to the picture I posted in the original post. And here are a couple more that I just took and added. Click to enlarge.

It's not a perfect fit, but it's very close. I mean very very close. If I didn't know for certain it was made for the nine, I'd say it was made for the 45. It's certainly close enough to work in a pinch. Smile [:)]

I think the total distance that the 45 sticks out more than the 9 is about 3/8 of an inch, maximum.

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is an UBG holster?  I know that IWB is "inside waist band".  I don't see UBG on the Nate Gable Website.  And is it the Striker I which you recommend for the Bersa UC9?

    Thanks!

UBG is the "brand" name of the holsters that Nate makes. They are d@mn good too I might add.. Anyway, StrikerI is a paticular model of UBG brand IWB holsters and I have one each for several differnt guns. So yea, I guess I do recommend them. Smile [:)]   First page of his site shows this brand name. Check it out.
