Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

If so, likes/dislikes. Are they worth a damn?

I have one and love it.  If you are looking at getting a mini-revolver, then NAA is the only way to go.  Now, Michael T will say, "I wouldn't walk across the street for a mini-revolver", but I like them.  If I have my britches on, then my 22 mag is in my pocket.  VERY good craftsmanship in these guns.  Opinions vary, but I love these little pistols.

AND, they have the safety notch inbetween rounds, so that it won't accidently go off while in your pocket.

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

I have 2. I carried a 1 1/8 22 lr for almost 20 years and recently bought the 1 5/8 22 mag/ lr combo. I really like it for carry when anything else is too big and also in the car just for carjacking attempts. It is good for 3 yards or so, or also close up and personal last ditch backup. I still carry my 380 CC, but the 22 mag in 1 5/8 barrel is still always with me in car or pocket. They are beautiful little watch like guns and if you get one you will like it a lot. The magnum is a lot of fun and accurate enough in the 1 5/8 barrel.

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

Let me also add this... If you buy one, get the "Conversion Kit".  It has both the 22 mag cylinder and 22LR cylinder.  If you don't buy it as the combo, then it will cost you 75 bucks to send it back to NAA to get the other cylinder timed to that gun.  I bought one not knowing about the conversion cylinder.  I was lucky enough to sell it for close to what I paid for it and bought the one with both cylinders.  Where I bought mine, they were about the same price.  Why have both? For carry, you will of course carry 22 mag, but for plinking and playing around with, the 22 LR is MUCH cheaper in relation to ammo.  If they don't have the combo unit/conversion kit (whatever they call it), have them order one!  It is worth the few days wait.  I ordered mine on a Monday and it was there on Wednesday.   I carry the shorter barrel one.  I was going to get the longer barrel, but I figured up close, that little bit wasn't going to matter.  I wanted the smallest one for my pocket.  Fat guy here with tighter pockets!!  ha ha

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

Thanks guys. It does make perfect sense to get both cylinders. Ball park: what does one cost in the real world. They range all over the place on Guns America.

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

Get the 1 5/8 combo. The extra length adds accuracy and velocity and will not interfere with pocket carry at all.

I paid $229.95 OTD at my LGS here in Nowhere KY. It is the 1 5/8 combo and came with a hard case and the 2 cylinders.

NAA Makes a quality pistol. I have a 22 LR amd a 22 Mag.  I consider them last chance lung punchers.

225 out the door at my local gunshop.  The first one I bought was 224 plus tax.  Went to another place for the 2nd one cause it was cheaper there. For the combo it lists for 236...So, you should not have to pay more than that + tax of course.

" Now, Michael T will say, "I wouldn't walk across the street for a mini-revolver",

You got that right   Slow in to action , recoil in 22 mag and the tiny grips , That  at least for me say Save your money..   I'll take a good 25 auto or Kel Tec 32  Their  a little larger .Shoot a better caliber  , holds more rounds ,and can deliver those rounds very fast and accurate.   A 22 mag out of a 1 5/8 barrell is more noise, flash , and recoil . Than real power. Don't even think about mintues. to reload.   Go to the NAA board and they have  FPS and other info posted  in both the 22LR and the 22 mag. Thats their info and their pistol .  Not impressive

But they sell a lot of them  I don't know why other than their cute  Just my 02

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

michael t I trust your judgement on this and I had once looked at the KelTec 32, but the idea that I would need to "fluff and buff" the dadgum thing didn't make me real confident. I know that your experience is good with them, but do you have any other true mouse type guns that you like as well?

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

Well first off The fluff and buff as it was call .Was really just a speedy way to break in pistol. This was used on 1st Gen guns. All of my KT are 2nd Gen. They required no so called fluff and buff.

I didn't even clean mine. I removed from box oiled the slide loaded and went to shooting . All three that way. . All 3 worked perfect right out of the box and still going strong.

Iam holding judgement on the Ruger. I have read good thing and bad already  I am not planing on getting one. As for the Kahr well that will be expensive and who knows.

If I had the money I won't lie I would replace the Kel Tec 32's with  Larry Seacamps little pistols. These are the RR of pocket pistols  SS and hand assembled  can be found for mid 400 range with shopping. a couple oz more in weight and about same size. Their a delayed blowback.Even  so a little more recoil than KelTec.  Larry has a board and you can order from factory to your dealer or several members are dealers and will ship if in stock to your dealer. Larry in on line ,to talk with and many times if you call factory he will answer the phone . His shop is small and only a few workers .

Now before some one says NAA Guardian It weights 2 much( S&W air weight snub is liter) and trigger sucks   Less than a $100 cheaper than the Seecamp which it is really a  bad copy of.

Beretta tomcat is to big and way to thick for a 32 pistol. Have one in my dealer going back Barrel is loose at hinge (remember these tip up barrel) They also have a long heavy trigger.

One of my best loved pocket pistols are my Beretta 950 Jetfire 25 auto.(I have 2, 1 America made and 1 never fired made in Italy)  These little pocket pistols have 9 rounds of 25 auto in a small flat pistol. People a 25 may not be worlds greatest caliber but 9 of them in a couple sec will ruin your day. But their no longer made Beretta replaced them with a DA/SA type. Looks about the same but isn't The DA trigger isn't close to the trigger on a 950. Of course you had to thumbcock the 950 but that way easy to do on draw. It was a 950 I drew in the attemped robbery of me in Lexington back in early 80's He had knife I has 25 . He saw gun and road runner couldn't have caught him

People knock a 25 but ball meets the FBI 12" min in jello and I have never found any on who will stand their and let me shoot them with this so called  weak round.  I admitt I have a thing for the little 25auto I have several and love to shoot them Cost almost as much as 32 or 380 for ammo but really fun. That said 32 is better 380 even more so . That why we have caliber wars

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

Thanks michael t. I might look again at the p32. I went to a local gun shop today and held the little NAA mini revolver. I'm glad I got some good and bad feedback on it or I may have ordered one and regretted it. After playing with it today; I know it ain't for me. Thanks again.

Re: Does anyone have a NAA Mini Revolver?

My dealer has 2 of those NAA mini revolvers. a little tiny one in 22lr and a bigger one in 22 mag. I did not like the finish on either of them. Like really thin in places so metal looked burned or rough. I can't explain it but both looked cheap to me (like something you'd get in one of those claw machines). they might be great little guns but seemed too tiny to be effective for anything but shooting yourself in the finger!! but what do i know? i bought a crap colt.

The finish on these is not a finish, but solid stainless steel. The gun has no plating on it. Also, the recoil of the 22 mag is not much at all. It is a great little gun. My 22 mag 1 5/8 barrel hides where none other will hide and it always works. Great fun to shoot.
