    Firestorm FS-22 6" Sport ???

After looking at the .22 models for years and having never owned or shot one, I finally picked up a FS22.  Man, have I been missing out.  When I take it out to my little plinking spot,  I make sure I take an excessive amount of ammo with me.  It is a blast to shoot. I am also amazed at how accurate it is.

With 2000+ rounds, I find it likes PMC Sidewinders and Rem GB's, which makes me happy because of the price.

I am now looking at the 6" model.  My local dealer found one and can have it here in a few days.  I have not found much info regarding the 6"model, other than one individual commenting that the threaded knob that retains the front sight was poorly designed/configured for him.  Having never held one, it's hard for me to form an opinion.  I can't imagine it is inferior given the quality of my current model.

    Anybody own one?

Hi, and welcome to Bersa Talk.

I'd jump all over it. I have the regular fs22 and I love it. It shoots Rem GB just fine, with very few jams.

I saw a FS-22/6 at the same place I bought mine, and I've often thought about going back and seeing if it's still there.

    So, I don't own the 22/6, I just wish I did. Sad [:(]

I guess you and I are in the same boat. LOL

I finally paid the ransom on my Firestorm 22-6 and picked it up from my favorite lgs, going to the range manana to try it out, will give range report.  Does anyone know what the rifling twist is.  I would like to know if the aguila 60 grain sub sniper round is worth trying in it, understand rifling twist needs to be 1 in 9-10 inches or they will keyhole.

Cautionary comment, you may find that sub sonic rounds have a problem cycling properly. These guns seem to prefer the higher velocity (energy) ammo.

But give it a try and PLEASE let us know how it works.

I had read that subsonic rounds don't work well in the Bersa-Firestorm .22s but am hoping the 60 grain sub would have eneough inertia to do the job.  I will look locally for some of the ammo first, as I don't want to buy a brick until I see if they will work.  I wouldn't event think of trying a sub 37 grain.
