Re: Question - how to best conceal

Here's a UBG pocket holster by Nate Gable. The holster covers the hammer and prevents snagging until the pistol clears the pocket. Made for roomy, deep pockets, not Levi's.

Hi P-T,  Very nice, if it's anything like the OWB I have of his I bet it's made well.

That looks like it has a large foot so I bet it stays in the pocket when you need to draw.

I have him working on another one for a large gun...Just can't go wrong.

Flagg is fictional character but looks like that actor in 'Fargo' who places parts of Steve Biscemi in the wood-chucker or whatever that machine was...

Re: Question - how to best conceal

The Bersa t380 DLX is a very good pocket carry choice, light weight and not all that big. I also have an Accu-Tek 380 which I pocket carry also, not all that light, but small enough to hide i front pocket.

Re: Question - how to best conceal

I use a Regulator from UBG but that won't work for you since it's OWB, and unfortunately UBG doesn't off a tuckable IWB holster.

I just got a SmartCarry and will be sending it back after the holiday.  It is the most god awful uncomfortable thing I've tried.  I don't think it works well for guys who have big bellies and wear their pants low on the hips.

Pocket carry with the right pants and holster may be your best bet.  I'd use this excuse to pick up the .380CC Wink [;)], then contact Nate at UBG for the one of his pocket holsters.

There are several holster makers out there that make IWB tuckable holsters, some of them are:

Tucker Gunleather lists " Bersa .380" on their gun list.

Fist Holsters lists the "Bersa Thunder"

Crossbreed doesn't list any Bersas but you could ask them

Garrity Gunleather doesn't list any guns that he makes holsters for so you'd have to contact him.

That should be enough to get you started Big Smile [:D]

Re: Question - how to best conceal

I carry IWB almost exclusively.  I had a hard time finding holsters I liked so got back into leather working (had done it as a kid a lot) and started makeing my own.  Still trying to get the tuckables 'just right' st they ride and conceal as well as non tuckable IWB.  I did carry my Bersa Thunder .380 loose in my back pocket with a jacket or long shirt untucked part of the time but like the IWB better.

Uncle Mike's inside the pants holster works best for my 380, anything larger would be too bulky to comfortably conceal in public.

Re: Question - how to best conceal

There are so many ways to carry a thunder 380,

Uncle mikes number 4 inside the pants

Galco jax slid right hip outside waist band. (my fav)

Houston Holster ( ridged plastic like a black hawk)

    Ace ankle holster.

    J & P leather cross drawl

When looking for a holster for a thunder use a walther PPK for your search, Since PPK is name brand and been around since 1930's there is a ton of holsters for it. Thunder takes same

I will disagree with Rich on the PPK holsters  I have found many don't fit because the Bersa is slighty larger and the Hooked trigger guard.  I have a shoulder rig made for a 1911 In a pinch I can use this holster for thunder It fits fairly tight and the thumb snap fits behind and holds the Thunder secure.  PPK/S in same holster falls out. even with thumb strap snapped.   It was found early on at BT that some Kahr holsters would work.

Not to say a PPK holster won't work just check first. Don't order blindly.  Better yet order a UBG  it will fit . Nate does holsters because of  BT and lack of good holsters for Bersa owners.

+1 Pm UBG by Nate.. I have several. They fit the gun and hold it secure, the feel comfy and they are high quality. Why mess around? I got a whole dresser filled up w/holsters and only UBG are in the top drawer.. Did I miss something?

-1.      I have Galco pocket holsers, UBG Stiker, Highnoon split decision,

All three are comfortable 24/7.  many others on the board use Uncle Mikes.  Unless you go with a paddel holster they are all pretty easy to conceal.

Re: Question - how to best conceal

I see lots of folks saying that they use Uncle Mikes #4 for in pocket carry. My question is on their site they have this chart:

    Size Item No.

    Fit Information

    line
    1 8744-1 Small autos (.22 - .25 cal.)
    2 8744-2 Most .380s
    3 8744-3 2" 5-shot revolvers; Sigma .380
    4 8744-4 Most sub-compact 9mm/.40 autos

According to this chart the # 2 would be the one for a bersa thunder 380. So why is everyone using a #4? Also I just got a thunder 380 cc version which one of these would work best?

    Thanks!
