Our company (in Cincinnati) has a "no guns" policy in the employee handbook, but it is not posted anywhere on the building. (SNIP) I'm certainly not going to lock my pistol in my car either, don't have that much faith in the people that staff the parking lot next to my building.

If somebody had been armed in my company office that day .Maybe My friends wouldn't be dead now . People on disability because of mental breakdown I sure the wounded and others from that day all remember and still have some problems from it.
The shooter was a X employe from our Atlanta office. Hadn't worked for company  for over a year.. But chose Our office for his shooting.  I rate Cinci. area very high on list of hi crime cities.
You neever know where and when crime will happen to you . If you did you could stay home that day or change what you were doing to advoid it.
A Kel Tec in a neck holster could make the difference. Loss of job better than loss of life. When I was a suiter I carried a Bauer 25  around my neck on kite string. Grab pull and ready 25 better nothing. Today the KT replaces that pistol nore power and still easy to hide

I don't carry at work. Strictly Verboten.  Grounds for termination.  My wife has instructions to sue the company if something happens to me as a result of not being able to defend myself.

A friend just got canned for carrying at his job.  It was in a bad place too. one of the worst places around here for gun violence.  Always in the news for shootings etc.

Personally, I wouldn't have worked there whether I could carry or not, so it will probably be for the best.

Re: do you carry at work?

I'm the boss and I say it's permitted at my office. I have had two of my guys held up at gunpoint in the last couple of months. One of them is very traumatized and has required therapy (is now scared to walk around in his neighborhood at night). Everyone in my office has been issued pepper spray (even before said incidents) and I encourage them all (with time off and sponsorship) to get their carry licences.

I take my BT380 concealed to all meetings (usually don't mention the fact) and when entering banks and other public institutions I show my CCW license and check my weapon with security as per the law. Never had any problems.

I'm definitely interested in the KelTec. They had one up at Target World, but it wasn't there long. I'm keeping my eyes open for one. I bolted a small black lock box in one of my desk drawers (same as the cable-attached one under my car seat) where I can lock my wallet and valuables, could probably find another use for it. Re: do you carry at work?

I worked for the state, and carrying guns was forbidden on the job... But I knew that my foreman carried a .357 Magnum when he was working, so I figured if it was OK by him........and I generally carried myself.
Seems to me that "Time" is merely an artificial concept, created by man, with which to hassel himself.

Re: do you carry at work?

Yes I carry at work, I work for a strong conservative company, in high end retail home improvement.  No one talks about if they carry or not. That's the way I like it. Funny thing when the wallets fly open to buy a pizza Pizza [pi] I have seen a bunch of CCW permits. So I know a lot of us carry. I think we have fun trying to figure who is printing and who isn't.

Re: do you carry at work?

This brings up another question? Is there anyone at your work that prints so bad he or she would be better off with a note stuck on their back "look at my GUN"

I always carried it at work. I had to, I was a police officer. LOL
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

Re: do you carry at work?

I carry.  Nothing in the company handbook about it and no laws stating that I can't in my profession.  Usually the 22 magnum and I normally have the .38 real close to me as well.

Re: do you carry at work?

I do. I'm one of those that are not supposed to due to company policy, but i do anyway. I work in one of the worst neighborhoods in Miami (Liberty City in between Little Havana and Little Haiti). There have been 11 fatal shootings within 6 miles of here in the last year. Not to mention numerous armed roberies, assaults, car jackings, etc, etc. When my office decides to have an armed security guard, maybe I'll leave the Bersa in the car (MAYBE), but until then I'll carry here everyday.Besides, if they don't know, it's not there.

Re: do you carry at work?

We actually had a guy get fired because it was so obvious he was carrying. That and the fact his pistol fell out of his pants in the middle of the office. This guy was carrying a full size 1911 (brand I don't know i only got a glimpse) without a holster!!! What an @$$hat!!! Guys like him are why policy states no firearms in the factory.

Re: do you carry at work?

I do , but being in construction and doing service calls I think people might frown on me if they were to accidentially see my normal  CC gun  Sad [:(]    so I just keep my  NAA 22 mag. in a pocket holster, not much protection but it's better than nothing.

Re: do you carry at work?

As I am still waiting on CCP, I cannot actually carry concealed. I do however carry to both my jobs and carry into job #1; the owner is fine with that. Job #2 it stays locked in the truck. Not to far away (unless trouble arises, than it might as well be on another planet).
