That's the test I want to read. If it is mil-spec I will be very interested.

That way we'll get the real skinny.  What's with the magazine bumper??  Looks like an afterthought.  Standard Colt Mag base would look better and cleaner. JMHO  Bill

Well I might be able to give you all a better Idea in a week or so . I have a Firestorm or American Classic coming . So I can take all apart and look in side ,shoot it , torture it , name it Mason  what ever I want.  .

I will make a couple mods  That suppose to help recoil . Ive been wanting to try these and this will be my chance. How will a out of box Firestorm   do against my Kimber, Colt, or Dan Wesson.

Don't know about pictures yet still working on that . That flash powder and holding len cap off is really had to get used to. Also look thru view finder and everything upside down.  Guy a flea market assured me this was the newest and best camera money can buy. So we shall see

Re: Does anyone have a Firestorm .45 or .40 1911 clone?

I just picked up a LLama 1911 clone the other day, the full size one and it seems like a pretty good gun. Supposed to be an exact clonre of the Colt 1911.
Haven't shot it yet but will let you know how it does as I am going to the range with it in the morning.

If it'a Llama it's not. Some things fit, most don't. Be careful if you buy parts for it.

The old style FS1911 Llama says made in Spain and has an external extractor. The new FS 1911 has a internal extractor and is made in Phillipines. Other tells but these are the most obvious... Note, the Llamas didnt always say Llama on them.

Re: Does anyone have a Firestorm .45 or .40 1911 clone?

I just came from the gun shop. They have a Firestorm and a Metro which are exactly the same gun. Both made in the Philippines.

I am no expert on 1911's but they appear to be very nice.

Nice wood grips, skeleton hammer and trigger, lowered ejection port. Trigger pull feels OK to me

The sights are nice also. Best of all they are less than $500. Only thing that looks odd is the offset at the bottom of the magazine.(which is a Mecgar)

They would not take one apart for me to look under the hood as they were afraid of scratching them.

So will someone buy one and test it so I can get one.Smile [:)]
