Ths XD9 is really sweet.  Easy to shoot, enough weight to handle well and it comes with 2 16 round mags and the rest of the "gear" that Springfield offers.  It's not a CC weapon but very good for HD.

Cost is not to bad as I recall.  I bought it almost a year ago and can't remember what I paid, but it was comperable to my girlfriend's Glock, which of course doesn't come whith the "gear"

I had a M&P9C for about six  months, it did'nt fit my hand very well and I traded it for a FNP-9 and it seems like your XD9. Since you appear happy with it I think I'll look at it again, thanks.

Perhaps you should go back and re-red the posts. My retort was directed to FA Bob. He basically took over this thread and reverted it back to a topic that was more pleasant and less offensive to some but certainly had nothing to do with the original topic. My understanding is that is frowned up. He also insulted EVERYONE who did not agree with him.

 You sir did call someone names and launched what I considered to be a personal attack on a board member. This is also frowned upon and I was actually told that it was forbidden. A person could attack an idea, but not a person. With all due respect, my understanding is that is frowned upon as well.

I have never said that I have a problem with gay people. Believe it or not, I too have friends who are gay and ***. My daughter is bi-sexual. I still love her, but I DON'T WANT HER TO MARRY ANOTHER WOMAN and have to explain that to my other grandchildren. As far as I'm concerned, to each his own as far as sexual preference - but don't advertise it to my children or my grand-children if it is not the standard family package. I will educate them myself. Thank you.

Kimigirl and I have our own discussion going on the topic and I have not attacked her, nor has she attacked me as far as I can tell. It is a discussion or a debate as you will. With you two jumping in and insulting everyone, I have not had time to answer her.

SuperDave and I are not always on the same side. The first post I made on this board was in reference to a post he made that I considered to be offensive to women - he and I  had a very heated discussion about it. I do not have a problem with SuperDave's posts and he reads alot apparently and brings a lot of new information to the board. He is a member of the group that will be responsible for making decisions when I am old(er) and in my opinion he is extremely conservative in his views for a young person. He could be a thug...or worse, but he isn't and you basically told him that every time he speaks, he is an idiot. WADR, HE IS ENTITLED TO HIS OPINION JUST AS YOU ARE YOURS SIR.

Your point is well taken and I agree with most of your post; as POGO once said "We have met the enemy, and it is us" and with that said the decline of family values is my fault and our fault, not someones life style that we disagree with.

Now as to superdave most of his many posts never effect me, but sometimes I take issue with them, and when I do my PINHEADED opinon takes over. I never called him an idiot, I called him a pinhead and he is entitled to all his opinons but never-the-less he is still a pinhead

Guess thats not something that you have to worry about since the only place in the US it can be done is Massachusettes.

I will generally not attack anyone unless I am attacked first. Those who have gotten me started have gotten a very heated argument. Its the Irish in me...anyhoo I generally will not bring up the gay thing for this reason. It tends to bring out the negatives in people that I would otherwise have no problems with. Moph may use strong words, but he is a good guy and I respect his opinion. Most often I agree with him. In this case, he was being my friend. You can never have too many friends. He may not agree with my lifestyle, but I think that he looks at it as live and let live. Don't write him off just yet.

I don't know what to say here I have read two pages of  trash. People attacking people and their beliefs. 

  Peoples sexual preference and Religon . Two things that will cause trouble and even more so when in same thread.

First calling a member a PINHEAD  wasn't needed.  That is a attack on member . We don't attack members you all know that. I would maybe expect that from a FNG but not long time members .

So no more of that.  We have had many threads about people sexual preferance. By members here . This lifestyle has always been with us and always will be. I do agree with Kim  .That  more so called normal people attacking and doing harm to children the other side.

To you Christians I ask WWJD . Attack these people or love them . Don't start quoteing passages from the Bible either . That was written by men , censored, books left out , and rewritted many times depending on Polictical veiwes of the Church or as of last time King James. . So other than a some what flawed historical book  I see it as no value. Now the orginal Hebrew text I would place some store in. But nothing that comes from the Greek translation. 

   Note I am not attacking Christians , I have no problem with them as long as they don't try to force their thinking on me. This goes for any Religon I walk my path and do what I feel is right. I don't need another person telling me what to belive or how I should act.according to THEIR GOD. To many millions have died for this foolishness.and it needs to be stopped. By all sides     .

What exactly is Vietnamese sytle?  Is it some sexual reference with which I am not familiar?  Have you just made a slur at me?  I understand the up your a*s somment - so nice coming from a  woman on such a nice family oriented website.  That I take as a personal afront.

You guys that are griping about this thread not being about guns.......You can CLEARLY see from the title that it is not.  Even if you could not, then after you read the first post why did you come back to this thread.  Besides, no one took offense at the post saying that they would not support this group because they do not support gay marriage.  It was no until I posted my opinion, that is also widley held by many in this country, that this thread got ugly.  In essence you guys are making my point for me.  If I disagree about anything in the gay agenda, I am automatically attacked and called names.  

I have gay co-workers that I get along with just fine.  I also think it is immoral to have a sexual relationship outside of marriage regardless of the sexual orientation.  I do not hate gay people at all, I really do not even care what they do in private.  What I take offense at is everywhere you look today, this lifestyle is shoved down your throat.  Also, I do feel that incest is a correct comparison to homosexuality.  You Kimi, said that it was not a fair analysis, but why. 

Some people see incest as a natural way of life.  It was done for years in Europe so that royal blood could be preserved.  I view it as un natural and apparently so do you.  I also view homosexuality as un natural, but you do not agree so I am automatically a Bigot.  Incest happens in nature also, so why is it not ok too.  People also think it is ok to have sex with animals.  We both disagree with that, but shouldn't they be entitled to their opinion and be able to marry their brother or their horse if that is what they believe in?  Maybe they were born with a tendancy to love their sister a little too much?  Why is that not ok? 

My point is that the majority of people see homosexuality as un natural.  I do not think that all of a sudden after more than 2000 years of marriage being between a man and woman that you or anyone else should be able to come in and force that to be changed.  If we go by that logic then we have to let people have more than one wife (that happens in nature), marry their siblings (that also happens in nature) or whatever else someone can justify in their minds.

As far as the religious aspect, this is a free country.  I believe God frowns on Homosexuality as well as adultry and any other sinful act equally.  I see no reason to hate homosexuals or anyone else (with the exclusion of child molesters).  Also adult homosexuals may not make up the majority of child predators, but I would be willing to bet that if you took it on %, accounting that there are way more hederosexuals than homosexuals that they make up more.  When children are hitting puberty, that is not the time for someone to put un natural ideas into there heads.  IE-shoving it down our throats.  School should not be teaching anything about sexual orientation at all!!!!!!!  They should stick to biology only.

This all being said, these are my beliefs.   You can attack me for them if you want, but I except that you have your beliefs and I do respect your right to believe what you want.  But, I do not think that it should be displayed and forced upon my children.  I should not have to answer my 4 year old when he comes home and asks if it is ok that his male teacher has a boyfriend.

Thank you michael t for your intervention. I truly apologize if I have offended anyone. Including
FA BOB, by my response to his insult - which is an insult. That was not very nice, and I do apologize.

Kimigirl - There is nothing wrong with having good friends and I would consider myself very fortunate. Although you and I have some different view points, I value your opinion and consider you to be an intelligent enough person to have a discussion and not take personal feelings into consideration. I have formed this opinion based on your posts that I have read. I also think that you are very courageous and I admire that. As far as I am concerned, I will be happy to discuss any topic with you or ask for your advice or opinion. That goes for moph as well. He really didn't offend ME other than insulting my education, as long as people are not attacked personally. I have spent the majority of my life speaking up for and protecting the underdogs and I really am offended by personal insults directed toward ANYONE! Not just me.

Obviously there are some out there who cannot abide by the rules, and I refuse to respond to personal insults anymore. That being said, I hope you all have a truly wonderful day!

Why are incest and beastiality bad? They cause harm. Incest can cause birth defects. It  is not benefitting the community at all, it is degrading it. Beastiality is bad because the animal is not giving their consent. They are being forced to participate, same as rape.  Homosexuality occurs between 2 consenting adults. They are of no harm to their community , in fact are often quite helpful. Same is sad with the others used against homosexuals like pedophilia. Again not good for the community, and not good for the child. They are not able to give their consent because they do not understand what is being asked of them.

There are plenty of birth control methods out there.  Is it ok as long as they do not have children then?  Using that logic, incest causes birth defects, well homosexuals can not procreate, so it apparently was not meant for them to be sexually active with each other.  Also, some would argue that the animals like the sex.  The case that was just in the news where the guy was killed from being on the recieving end of sex with his horse, well, the horse had to be a willing participant in that one.  Anyway, so what if the animal could give their consent?  Your saying that would make it ok?
