I've just joined this forum, and have to tell you folks I'm still amazed!! I was born and raised in Argentina, my home is in Buenos Aires. Ever since I was a kid I sighed watching the wonderful Colts, S&W, Rugers, etc., that you guys had access to in the States but were out of our reach because of their price.
Naturally, one bought a Bersa thinking: "well, maybe next year I'll be able to afford a Glock". It feels good to know that so many of you hold the Bersa in such high regard. Never more appropriate the saying "familiarity breeds contempt", although undeserved, as Bersa is a quite serviceable weapon.
Being an IPSC rangemaster has allowed me to witness dozens of Bersas, slugging it out with Glocks, Jerichos, CZ's and others in Production matches. I have also seen Bersas that have fired several thousand rounds and still function quite well.
I have a Mini Thunder in 9mm that I keep in the car. Haven't shot it much though, preferring my Sig 226. Well folks, you have shamed me into firing it more often in the future!!
