    Holster for Biking

Does anyone have any ideas for carrying while riding a bike?  I generally ride anywhere from 15 to 100 miles at a time on my bicycle, and would like to carry my Bersa Thunder .380, but I don't know of a secure way to carry it.  Is there anyone else out there who carry's a firearm while bicycling?

    Re: Holster for Biking

Your options for bike carry are either on the bike or on your person in a belt holster or shoulder holster. If you are a lycra/spandex kind of biker and carrying on your person, you are going to look kind of lumpy. "Fanny" or "hydrations" packs are kind of common on bikers so that may be an option.
I just did a 13 mile ride today wearing a "fanny" pack but my carry piece was in an IWB. And I was wearing bluejeans and a tee shirt.

I rode one of those 200'on a slight down hill. Dam thing never started. Then I found out no engine. What a waste Wasn't worth a bullet to shoot either. So why carry gun., Use a fanny pack and a KelTec.

I've heard a SmartCarry worn bandolier style.  (Over shoulder, and under other arm)

I'm with MT, not a biker.

Just don't wear spandex and I think your options will be better.  Do us all a favor

    Re: Holster for Biking

I would say a fanny pack holster would be your best option since dosent look out of place at all AND keeps the gun away from your body enouph to protect it some from your sweat as well as likely to be more comfortable than IWB or some such while bikeing.

    Re: Holster for Biking

definitely the fanny pack.  You can get them with a generic built in holster or add your own.  If you get a real "totin" fanny pack it will have heavier belt.

I have a fanny pack that carries a Ruger P89. Not sissy, just very handy to carry a large, heavy gun out hiking or biking. An advantage is that a would-be BG will see it and  know that I am not carrying make up in it..

Hey, maybe I could get me one of them stretchy clingy bikey outfits with the little zoomie plastic helmets that makes ya look like a Leprecan. Then I could get me a schwin too...

Oh wait a min., I almost forgot.. Little voices just reminded me..  I'm against self inflicted sweat! Makes it smell like the bacon is burnin'..

    Never mind!
