    Centurion Multi Defence Buckshot

Has anybody shot this stuff, it looks impresive, but how well does it work. 2-3/4 length,  One .650 ball and six #1 buck shot, 1300fps advertized.  I like the unorthadox loading but does it work.  I could see it either working better than alot of buck shot or being a flop especialy at distance.  What do you guys think, short range hammer or all round pounder. I'm not confident of it's distance capabilities compared to standard 00buck, but then again I've never tested it.

    What do you guys think/know.

I haven't tried it but if it's designed as a defense round why is long distance performance an issue?

I think it is centurion that makes all kinds of specialty rounds, like the flame thrower, dragon's breath, flechette and other rounds that sound impressive, I have seen some writings on forums that generally agree you shouldn't wase your money, and some may be hazordous to your gun and innocent bystanders.  this round sounds like it would be two wide a spread at short range, and totally inaccurate at long range, as the .65" ball would rattle in the barrel and have nothing to put a spin on it.  If you shoot it down a rifled barrel, the 0 pellets would be slung wide,  I would stick to the real stuff.

Here you want weird defence loads.  I had a friend the loaded strightned out fish hooks  Was nasty across a room. He also loaded small finishing nails.  Old days the suppose loaded 1/4 dimes .

Just stick with regular old 00 buck . People stop looking for the magic bullet or shotgun load . It doesn't exsist . Just use good ammo and do your best.

    Re: Centurion Multi Defence Buckshot

Just ran across it when I was looking at ammo, and thought it sounded wierd.  Had to ask, I never know.  I asked about the distance because it didn't sound right with the diference in size of the two loads.  Maybe it's good maybe it's not, I'm definately sticking with the buckshot, tried and true.
