From reading this forum, i am aware that the UBG holster is preferred.   Many holster manufacturers dont list the BT9UC as a fitment option.  I have researched the Don Hume H715M  w/thumb break and the Bianchi professional 100 model.  What pistol would one use in the fitment chart that would fit the bt9uc?  Seems I read here that someome used a size 10 Bianchi, but not sure.  Anyone who is familiar with these holsters and the fitment, your input would be appreciated.  It appears the Keltec pf 9 which is normally listed would be comparable for fitment,,,,,,,any ideas??    thanks,, chuck

call Don Hume and ask them I haven't talked to them in couple years But they were very helpful  when BT first started.    Don't get a thunb snap these not needed on a cc pistol and may get you hurt. If pistol fits holster and trigger is covered then good enough. I have a DH for my PPK/S ,Colt Mustang and 2 pocket for PPK and  Mod 49 J frame.  All bought be for the  master of leather (UBG) started makeing holsters.

I have the Don Hume H715 on order now. I am not certain it will fit, but I think there is a 90% chance. I ordered the one that fits Glock 19/23. I also ordered the Blade-Tech "IWB Universal" which is very similar to the Don Hume but made from Kydex. I ordered it for Glock 9/40 guns. It came Monday and works great (only needed to tighten the tension screw, may have needed to do that even for Glocks).

I think as long as you use a holster that is somewhat generic as opposed to one of the custom fitted and hand boned  goodies, the Glock 19/23 is a good choice.

I also have a Bianchi Black Widow, Comp-Tac MTAC, and Blackhawk Serpa CQC for a S&W 3913/3953/5913 . All of them work acceptably although they are not perfect fits.

I just bought a Don Hume 36-1 RH today. The package states "New Style. Will fit: Glock 26, 27, 33"

Yeah, I would have never guessed a Glock holster either. (Please Michael T, forgive me!) But when I asked for help the pro-Bersa cop shop owner picked it off the rack immediately as if he'd done this before. The UC9 fits perfectly - the weapon is snug and the muzzle is flush with the bottom edge of the leather.

I haven't worn it yet, but its GOT to be better than the soft-sided Uncle Mike's POS I've been using.

Tailhook, was the holster you got the IWB or the OWB, i seem to get both of them when i search for 36-1 ??  Apparently its the other numbers that determine the style.  I want an OWB as well, so if it fits too, I will get both.  I found them online at sportsmans-depot if you wanna check them out.  Thanks, chuck

What I bought doesn't look anything like the 36-1 holsters I found on the Sportsman Depot website. I got the PCCH IWB with 2 belt loops and a body shield with 36-1 stamped on the hip-side exterior. PCCH stands for "Preferred Concealed Carry Holster" and looks like this:

$46.49 OTD at a local police uniform shop. I'll start using it tomorrow and give you a report in a day or so. I know you want an OWB... maybe 36-1 is a basic type of holster that the factory can make into a IWB or OWB? I don't know.

Here is some additional holster information (may be worth more or less than you paid for it):

The Blade-Tech IWB for the Glock 9mm/40 cal. guns works well, but I did have to make one slight modification. I am left-handed, but I leave the mag. release on the left and use my trigger finger to operate it. The Blade-Tech holster was releasing the magazine when I inserted the gun. A little grinding and buffing with a Dremel took care of the problem.

This morning I received a Galco M7X "Matrix" OWB holster for the Glock 19/23. This holster snaps around the belt making it easier to remove than regular belt slide holsters. IT is comfortable and fits my Bersa quite well.

Please note that all my tests have been done using the Thunder .45 UC, but should apply equally well to the 9 UC since the only difference is a slight variation in length and these are all open-bottom holsters.

While none of these holsters are of the quality of UBG's, they are readily available inexpensive alternatives. To Michael: "Glocks are useful. They make good holster molds! "

My Don Hume H-715-S.O.O.T. sized for the Glock 19/23 came. It fits both the TH9UC and TH45UC perfectly. It is a well made holster which stays open for on-hand re-holstering. I find it very comfortable to wear at 8:30-9:00 (lefty). Since it has no cant, wearing it further back on the hip is not practical, at least for me. I also have the Blade-Tech IWB Universal for the Glocks. This also works well for the Bersas and has adjustable cant (0 or FBI) so it can be worn further back. I like the fact that both holsters have two snap straps that go around the belt; by straddling a pants belt loop, I am able to eliminate any problem of the holster sliding back and forth on the belt.

In you opinion what is the best holster for the 380 thunder. I am right handed and have been using the fobus paddle, but I still long for a better set up... all opinions welcome thanks.
