Re: where is the best deals on mags

If you want cheap mags, get Pro mags. If you want mags that work, get genuine factory mags, either at Eagle Imports or Condor's Flight.

Don't buy Bersa mags at Cheaper Than Dirt. They're not factory mags.

Re: where is the best deals on mags

Ok guys,  I've heard the Cheaper than dirt thing twice now.  I guess p-t-max ordered some mags from them that ended up being fakes.  I have heard also that they are the real deal. Since The price there is just the same as everywhere else I'm not taking that risk.  Any body see anything else out there below the fourty line, I'd like to give them some bussiness.  I paid $250 for my Firestorm Mini 9 so I guess I can't really complain when I'm forced to pay $40 a pop for the mags.  Thanks guys.

I've bought ammo at CDT but never mags. But I've been on their website and read customer reviews of the Bersa mags, and people are unhappy with them. Well, they're not factory mags and they don't work and they're p.o.'d at Bersa. But they did it to themselves. I'm just trying to save you some aggravation. Sorry if I came across as a grump.

Don't sweat it man, I've read a couple of your posts and your cool.  I think I may have answered my own question with a little more reserch, I hope.  I found some 13 round mags at handgun heaven for $36.36 tax included.  I went ahead and took the risk after checking out the site a little, and ordered two.  Every body sit back and lets see if they are the real deal or false advertisement.  They should be in some time after the week end.  I'll let you guys know how it goes,  don't jump on it in case they are fake, I'll let you know when I get them.  Thanks alot guys for your advise.

CTD sells both. If anyone got a Promag from them it was because they asked for it.
I don't use CTD because their customer service tends to be found wanting, to put it politely.

Re: where is the best deals on mags

Cheaper Than Dirt store front sells mags that fit the Bersa in Cheaper Than Dirt packaging. Hard to tell but I didn't see the stamped standard verbiage indicating genuine Bersa mags. I didn't buy to find out.

Don't know about CTD customer service over the phone but the folks working the catalog desk inside the store front have always been great. Its weird to be able to buy something off the shelf for a higher price but when you walk over to the catalog desk you can buy the same item at the lower catalog price (with no shipping obviously.)

Ok,  I just got off the phone with costomer service.  They said that the mags will be getting shiped out tomorrow, this is 6 days after I ordered them.  Costomer service was good and fast but if you order anything from handgun heaven don't be in a rush to get it.  I'll let you guys know if they are the real deal when they get hear.........................some day.

I did a search and found where I posted that the first mags I ever bought online I got at CDT, so I have to take it back about never buying mags there. I got a couple of 17 rounders for my pawnshop T9. They were factory mags and they've been flawless. They were $50 per mag, which is a little high, but I wanted them right now. And I made sure the ad said they were factory, and not Pro mags. The disappointed reviews I read later were about Pro mags for Bersa pistols. Since then I've avoided buying mags at CDT because Condor's Flight is quicker if they're in stock, and if they're not, I know that when they send them, they'll be the right mags. And they've been cheaper than CDT.

Now I'll say this about Eagle Imports. For a lot of things, they're the only game in town, so you have to deal with them. Their mag prices are right in line. Their service, on the other hand is hit or miss, and they're slow. For instance, I've tried on two separate occasions to order a replacement grip for a Thunder 9 Ultra Compact, and got a Thunder 9 (full size) grip each time. That's disappointing.

Re: where is the best deals on mags

I just got the 2 mags I ordered and they are 100% Bersa.  That's 81.67 delivered to my mail box.  It took 9 days to get them but most of that was processing time.  This is from Handgun Heaven.  Good stuff, haven't taken them to the range but cleaned them up and theyn cycled well (as much as you can tell from hand feeding).  If you guys can find them cheaper online I'd like to hear about it. 36.36 a piece aint bad for the real deal.Smile [:)]
