Some better some worst. People these are NAA numbers for their pistol.   Get  Kel Tec in 32 or 380 I say even the copycat is a better deal.  More shots  bigger hole HP that will  expand.

I read  a test and not 1 22mag hp opened in jell fired from a NAA and 6 to 8" was the penteration..   Please  theys are fun guns Don't bet your life on a rimfire 22 LR or Mag   To many dud rounds to slow in to action and  to slow follow up.

It makes a nice little pocket piece and good for cleaning out the BG's ear if he does not hear you say "leave me alone" In 22 mag the blast and flash will discourage most BG, but if you really want a pocket pistol for serious work get a KT PF9, or maybe a Ruger clone if it is ever released. I have been looking at the PF9 since it was introduced, and every time I think to buy it I read about another new problem. I have a Bersa 380CC and between the CC and my NAA 1 5/8 22 mag I have pocket carry with either and also I always have one or the other in the door pocket of my car. Can't draw a pocket carry piece when sitting in the car, but sure can out of the door pocket.

I am almost ready to get out of 380 and acquire some 9mm pocket pistol. I just wish that Bersa would come out with a 9 around the same size as the 380CC. The T9UC is just too chubby for pocket carry. Sorry, did not mean to hijack the NAA thread because I am a fan, have 2 and they are fun, the mag is a real hoot.

I'd certainly consider the KT if it were (1) available in my State, which it's not; and (2) smaller.  But if it's anything like a Grendel not very fond of it anyway.

NAA Mini-mag is so small, it's an 'everywhere' gun. 

Though fpe not that great, these numbers, are enough of an indication to satisfy me that it's probably adequate for SD.

And it would be a great stopper if placed correctly.  If not, oh well...better than a darn .25ACP you ask me... 

However, my car gun is not that gun, and my usual concealed is a BT380, J,  or Kahr CW9.  But the NAA mini-mag I would take ANY DAY over a darn .22LR or .25ACP .  I don't know about dud rounds, haven't encountered any yet in shooting about 400 rounds of varying factory ammo through Mini-Mag revolver.

 

 

The 1 5/8  barrel helps it. Several years ago I had to kill a crippled doe on the road and I used the 22 LR NAA 1 1/8 at 3 feet, one shot to the head and done. So, at close range these little fellas will do a job. Are others better? Well, yeah, but not as small and reliable. Anyway, I likemine and I know that it is my always backup and what to expect from it. Also, the machining quality makes it beautiful.

Specs

I carry a Thunder .380 or a S&W .357 OWB.
The NAA stays in the door pocket in my truck then in my  jeans pocket as a BUG when I get out.
The mini may not be a great SD but at close range it is better than a pencil,probley scary gettin shot in the face no matter what.It also is hidden in a local place in my front room just in case,you can clean a foam pop cup from a resturant put the mini it in put on a lid and straw set it on the coffee table,who is going to look in a pop cup

Well this from same site on the sorry 25 auto   Beats you mag by a lot.

Shot 1 - Sellier and Bellot 50 grain FMJ. Penetrated to 13.3", no expansion present. Outlined in yellow on the photo.

Shot 2 - CCI Blazer 50 grain FMJ. Penetrated to 16" and exited the back of the block. Bullet was not recovered.

The test of the HP 's were in same penteration range of the 22 mag and they expanded .  

22 mag needs longer barrel to give you full  power . I have fired the 22 mag NAA and found rapid follow up shots almost impossible.

The 25 auto is under rated as a close up SD gun.     The FMJ ammo exceeded the FBI min. penteration of 12"  the  22 mag didn't get their at all.   Both will work in a pinch BUT  I want the rapid fire of the 25 to deliver as many rounds as possible in quickest time and most control.  Remember 25 is a center fire and more relieable than any rimfire.

Mike mine a 25 and a Beretta . They are the best of the 25 autos. For just a little more than a NAA 

 

But  any one that carries a 22 NAA or a 25 auto  must be a nut case .just out looking to kill some one . No self respecting person would carry one of these small  only purpose to shoot people little guns. Sounds like their perfect road rage guns. Just looking for a fist fight.

Thanks for the informative post on the .25ACP.  I'll look into it (.25)-sold my 950BS many years ago to a friend.  It's been in a safe at his brother's for years.  Maybe I can buy it back. 

I know you had to pull yours once or twice.  Doesn't the Beretta have some jamming issues-that's at least what I recall.  No such problem with my .22mag mini-revolver.  It fires every time...What has been your experience with that Beretta?

I have 3 of the Beretta's  A model 20  DA/SA and 2 of the 950's  The 950 is the slimest and of course SA .   1 of mine is made in Italy  has no thumb safety and NIB  made before 1980. I have not shot that one.  But am considering it. . Interesting in the manual its ok to carry hammer down and thumb ***. . That way no thumb safety The safety is  American lawyer  crap.

Other 2 American made.  I have never had any problem out of either one   I know people say no extractor. But it works fine.  . I keep mine clean lubed and use good ammo.  Now I don't stand at range and shoot  100 or 200 rounds. I buy a box shoot all but  1 reload .  Clean real good and reload with those rounds. Hey the other 9 should shot no trouble. (law of adverage)  I do this with all my carry ammo  Load from a proven box.

So mine have proven relieable in these respect.  Are they relieable if you shoot a 100 or more rounds at one time  I don't know as never done ,and don't see me needing to do that on street.  Lets keep these little guns in their place . Their a close up SD pistol not ment for long gunbattles or 200 round range sessions .   I haven't tried the blazer 25 yet  It has worked fine in all my others  So I would hope in these .  

 Yes my 950 worked in Parking garage that night as well as a 45 . Just the sight of  a gun was enough to end the problem .

Of all the people that bad mouth 25autos. I have never found one willing to let me shoot them with this sorry underpowered round that according to them will just make a person mad. Hey I'll take you getting mad at me  Lets test.  Of course this also holds true to the 22LR ,22 mag, and the few fools that say that about a 32 or 380.  None will stand against a wall  and support their claim.
