Wait just a minute! You live in Canyonlands?!!

Now you've piqued my interest. Are you a park ranger? (Not that there's anything wrong with that). (Chortle).

But Canyonlands is a national park. You have to be a coyote or a lizard or a raven to live there. Or a park ranger. So which are you? Confused [*-)] Smile [:)]

Lol! I live in Moab UT so I'm surrounded by Canyonlands, Arches and Deadhorse Point national parks. I just consider this whole area canyonlands ( although I do feel somewhat like a lizard sometimes when hiking around here Confused [*-)] Big Smile [:D]).

    Hey garyl43 and p-t-max:

We were in Denver for vacation this summer seeing my folks, and took 3 days to go to Arches & Canyonlands around the 4th of July.  Way cool out there.  Even my teenager who didn't want to be impressed came back and told his friends how "awesome" it was.

Lucky guys, youse guys, to live out there.  I was also most pleased that Utah honored my PA carry permit.

Yep, it's beautiful out here   http://www.moab-utah.com/photo/aerial/gallery.html   . I've been to p-t-maxes avatar in the windows section of arches many many times. If you look close you might even be able to see me Wink [;)].

Cool pics via the link, thanks.  I went to the artist's home page and checked out the restaurant he works at.  We drove by it this summer each day on the way to the park, but the night we were going to stop there it was closed.  Too bad.

We'd better stop this "non-thread" stuff or micheal t is going to hose on us.  I'd hate to diminish my chances on getting that Bersa Patch . . .

    Re: Best Lube

I posted the following under "Lots of cleaners to choose from" I think I should have just posted it here instead sorry for the redundancy

My Dad only used baby oil on his guns. He claimed his father taught him this. Over the years I told him he was nuts and I was not comfortable using baby oil. Now I have his guns, some are over 70 years old (purchased by my grandfather in the 1930's) and I'm hear to say, they all work flawlessly! What did he know that I dont? Any comments?

Anybody try that Side Glide stuff.  Sounds like some great stuff.  What do you guys think?  I'm new to the lube subject.

    Re: Best Lube

We should buy some of each kind we can find so all the manufacturer's get our money. Then when that's done go get a quart of  Mobil 1 and some Hoppes.

Ah yes, Moab! Hot temperatures and Uranium Tailing piles. Of course in the winter the wind doesn't stop. Beautiful in the Spring and Fall.

I just applied the slide glide medium and the action of my Thunder 380 feels like velvet.  Want to see how it lasts through range sessions before reporting back
