    Re: Ladys Head count

I know I'm a bit late on this one but I just recently joined.

    yes...female here.

CCW for Florida & New York...live in Florida full time now. Carried full time in NY...unless was in NYC. I carry full time here, usually my Bersa 380....other times my new Stoeger Cougar 9. Used to keep my Highpoint 9 in the car but just sold it for the Stoeger but won't leave that one in the car.

Great site! Glad I found it!

Hey Specs, I think you better do a little more checking on the law in Ky about carrying open. I dont believe you are allowed to carry a weapon on the dash or in the seat beside you. I could be wrong ,,,but I dont think so. Im a fairly new CC holder from Louisville. And you are right about carrying open in the Louisville area. You might get cited for disturbing the peace. You can beat it in court , but its not worth the hassle. I just keep my Bersa Thunder concealed.

You absolutely can carry open in your car on dashboard or whatever WITHOUT a permit of any kind. We are free citizens in this state. Go  here:   http://opencarry.org/ky.html

This is the same as having a rifle or shotgun on a pickup rack behind your head. It has been this way for many years here.

    Re: Ladys Head count

Here in Tennessee we have handgun carry permits. It does not imply open or conceal carry, so we can legally carry open if we choose to.  Still, it would not be a smart to carry open in public for several reasons. So unless I am here on the farm, I carry concealed.

The only people I know that carry open are shop owners that want would-be robbers to know the risk they are taking by trying to rob their places of business.
