There is no single answer to this question.   As many stated it is a matter of personal preference.  You will probably find that you will end up with multiple guns with multiple carry options depending on your lifestyle and what you are doing or where you are going on a different day.

Bottom line - Do what you are comfortable with and what you feel safe with.

    BINGO!    ^^^^what he said^^^^

My XD45 compact has the shortened grip so it is a breeze to conceal, i carry it in a comp-tac hybrid holster, and that combo works perfect for me, and in the summer i carry the bersa in the same holster. pick out something that feels good and give it a shot.

ps. i can shoot a golden dollar at 15 yards with my XD so they are plenty accurate.

I have a T9 UC SS and carry it on my left side (facing backwards) IWB with no holster. I am right handed and use crossdraw. I have been carrying all my small and off duty weapons like this since 1964 as a former LEO. Have never had a problem with this. I guess it's what you get used to.

I carried gangster style 30 yrs ago when we didn't have permits . But in todays world I find a holster much more secure.

There is no real good way to carry. I am a tucked in shirt kind of person so there really is no good way.

Re: CCW - Best Way to Carry and Best Gun to Carry?

I started off my Bersa Life with a Thunder 380, i carried IWB and loved it except Ammo cost. I traded it to my son-inlaw for a Rem 870, which i needed for a house gun. I then bought a S&W 5906, while its a great gun, it doesn't hide well. I tossed up A Thunder 9 since i'd fallen in love ( since it came out) or a Thunder 380 Plus. Well the UC 9 was 1st in hand, we married right away, without even dating the 380. All i can say is I LIKE this UC 9. The 1911 serves as the BUG, the S&W is the truck gun. Did I say i like this UC9 because i really do. Also got a Galco iwb holster for $27, they're a great team.

Re: CCW - Best Way to Carry and Best Gun to Carry?

I really it comes down to your personal preference. Different people will tell you different things regarding CCW but you will often have to try things out for yourself.

Personally I have four different weapons I can carry. The S&W 442 .38 special has always been one of my favorites because it is an airwieght and is easy to conceal and with .38 +P JHP it is plenty powerful enough. My Bersa 380 is also easy to conceal even in pants pockets. These two weapons I carry most often during warmer weather because I am not wearing heavier jackets, coats or sweat shirts.

In the colder weather when I am wearing heavier clothing I often carry my Springfield XD40 subcompact or even my S&W M&P 9mm. I still like the Springfield the most but it is a little bulkier.

Personally I have not been a fan of the Kel-Tec pistols. I have often felt they were just not up to the quality I was looking for.
