    Re: Crossbreed Supertuck

I got the Kydex from work, we use it all the time.  We often can't use the small scraps and drops because they don't have the requisite certifaction numbers written on them, so our bosses let us have them.

Here is one SOURCE, there are many.

    Re: Crossbreed Supertuck

I have been wearing my crossbred super tuck for a week now, I think it is great.

Wears well on the motorcycle and in the sports car.  I dont even know its there at work.

Wish I could find a belt holster that fit and felt this good.

Do  you  have any problems sitting with this  holster??  I've  been  thinking alot about where  conceal  and carry  will take me and alot of the time I'll be in a car driving  or sitting in a restaurant.   How   does the Crossbreed work  for that?

    Re: Crossbreed Supertuck

The crossbreed is very comfortable sitting.  My BIL is an assistant pastor and part time LEO.  He was really impressed with my crossbreed and is going to recommend to the security team at his church.  I have not had one regret with this holster.

If you already have an IWB holster you really like you could order the clips from crossbreed and mod your holster to be tuckable.

Or contact the folks at Tucker Gunleather and ask for a set of Delrin clips.  Delrin is going to be more durable than the Kydex clips.  They don't show the Delrin clips on their website (at least they didn't the last time I looked), you have to contact them and ask for them.

My homemade holster based on the Crossbreed design is very comfortable when sitting in the car.  I also like how the Kydex stays open when the gun is removed for a very easy reholster.  Not to mention you don't have to worry about the holster flattening if you are forced to remove your gun for any length of time.

Sorry, but I have to ask...where in NC do you live that it is so rough your CHURCH has an ARMED SECURITY TEAM? Fayett-nam? The 60 or 70 year old deacons and ushers with canes, limps, and walkers usually quell the violent old blue-haired lady uprisings in Rocky Mount.

On a more serious side, I was about to post asking about how the crossbreed does sitting. Glad I read deeper into this post.

How deep can you tuck your shirt with the X-breed and is there a noticeable grip profile above the belt?

Well the church is one of those mega-rich churches in FL.  They have a large congregation and the church has been the target of theives.  That church out in colorado probably thought they were safe too, until that nutcase showed up.

You can tuck your shirt about 2-3in  over the holster.  If you wear the holster more toward the 2:00 position the grip really disappears, but it is more comfortable at 2:30 - 3:00 positions.  You need to sort of blouse your shirt.  You can't wear it tucked in tight.

For those that doubt nutjobs pick places they think will have the least resistance:  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,391786,00.html

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. —  A man wielding a shotgun entered a church and opened fire as congregants watched a youth performance Sunday, killing one person and injuring eight others, police said.

The gunman was tackled by church members and eventually taken into police custody. None of the children were injured. A hospital spokeswoman said five of the wounded were in critical condition.

Knoxville Police Chief Sterling Owen identified the man killed as Greg McKendry, 60, a longtime church member and usher at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church.

"It appears Mr. McKendry was the first person he (the gunman) encountered when he walked into the sanctuary," Owen said. "It's going to be a while before all the facts are cleared up."

A church member who arrived moments after the shooting said the gunman fired three times and was tackled. Steve Drevick said he spoke to several eyewitnesses and that no one at the church recognized the gunman. He did said the gunman had more ammunition on him.

Officials wouldn't say exactly how many people helped subdue the gunman.

"It was a large group and we are thankful for them for without it, this situation could have been even worse," Mayor Bill Haslam said.  continued.......
