Some Bersa handguns have a problem with the decocker being either hard
to use or not useable at all. This is a fairly common problem. Some
people have been able to take care of the problem on their own. They
will often find burrs or machining debris. If you don't feel
comfortable with taking your gun apart enough to work on it(I'm not),
then you can send it to any of the warranty repair centers.
We have
a resident gunsmith that pops in from time to time here one the board.
We've heard that he does very good work, and that the turnaround is
really decent. You can contact him at the following:
Colorado Gun Works
2631 W. Vine Dr
Ft. Collins, CO 80521
(970) 482-4867
Also,
when you send your gun, make sure that it is unloaded. The gunsmith
prefers to have the whole gun sent, not just the slide so that it can
be tested. Also, you may want to shorten the name to CGW, otherwise
you're just advertising what is in the box. And please, don't send it
in the Bersa box it came in, unless that is inside another box.
You
cannot ship the gun through the United States Postal Service, you'll
have to take it through UPS or Fedex. A lot of these mail stores will
not send a firearm, so you'll have to find an actual UPS or Fedex
location.
This is a multicultural home. I have Argentinian guns, Brazilian guns, Russian guns, Yugoslavian guns...
